Larry of the Lawn
Just duct-taped over the speakers and wrapped a sheet over the screen of my tv. I'm going to let it sweat like that while I go to work, and then when I return, I'm going to put it to the question to see why it's spying on me and who it reports too. Things might get ugly. all swedes are racist
My question is.... if TV can really hear me, then why hasn't it answered any of my prayers? :(
Free Northman Reborn
Don't know if its been mentioned up thread, but one of the worrying factors if of course if someone decides to hack into your TV, and activate this without your knowledge. And that's just assuming a good old rogue hacker. That's not even taking it to the logical conclusion of the government doing so, with Samsung's cooperation. No thanks. My current TV is a Samsung, but it is a model that just preceded the SMART TV revolution. My next one will have to be something different.
felice
Of course, you've always got the option of not ever plugging it into your network or giving it your wireless password; that will put a bit of a crimp in its ability to spy on you. I don't see the point in "smart" functions anyway.
