Ebenstone
I'm kind of surprised no one is talking about this one. I just finished it this afternoon and it's bloody brilliant. I'm going to link to my blog because I did a whole write up on it over there. http://johnzeleznik.blogspot.com/2015/04/book-review-grace-of-kings-by-ken-liu_7.html

Ebenstone
Thanks for the review.I asked about this in the April reading thread but seems no one here has read the ARC.I will be buying this later today. I missed that. I emailed Ken and asked for an ARC, not thinking I was going to get one, but I did. And as I said, it exceeded every expectation I had. Gormenghast
Is there a map? ;) I've read it's set in a archipelago and that not based on real world, so I was curious.

Bastard of Godsgrace
Is there a map? ;)I've read it's set in a archipelago and that not based on real world, so I was curious.Yes. A colored map in a Kindle edition, even, though I suspect it looks better in a hardcover.
Grayce Hornwood
Thanks for sharing this; it looks interesting so I may have to pick up a copy once I get through my massive to-read pile. :P

Ebenstone
Yes. A colored map in a Kindle edition, even, though I suspect it looks better in a hardcover. Ken was kind enough to share a MS Paint version of the map that he made. The full color version that is in the book is a work of art.

unJon
I can't tell from Amazon if this is the start of a series. I'm assuming yes. Anyone know? And know how many books planned? Book looks great but if a series I may hold off until at least one more book out b
Brendan Moody
It is part of a series, yes. "Book One of the Dandelion Dynasty." There'll be at least two more, though I can't tell if it's firm as a three-book series or has potential to grow beyond that.
Ebenstone
I can't tell from Amazon if this is the start of a series. I'm assuming yes. Anyone know? And know how many books planned?Book looks great but if a series I may hold off until at least one more book out bIt's definitely part of a series. From what I can tell (via podcasts and some very cordial Twitter conversations with the author) it's a trilogy, but even that is different. The sequel, from what I can gather (mostly my conjecture), will be a sort of "next generation" thing. Don't hold me to that if it turns out to be wrong. He's working on it now. I'm trying the good old Summon Author spell for answers.

Spockydog
Anyone know when this is being released as an ebook in the UK? Google does not appear to know the answer...
Brendan Moody
It looks like there isn't a separate UK print edition, just imports of the US hardcover, in which case there may not be a UK e-book at all until there's a proper print version.
