Quorra
This forum has been a godsend for me after realizing GRRM is going to torture my soul forever w the release of WoW... I am a husband, father, Air Force veteran (4 yrs), sports enthusiast, avid reader and believe R+L=J. I fully support the Others as the good guys, at least not purely evil. And above all else DESPISE Daenerys Targaryen a thousand times over! Ha! This soul torturing is clearly a sweeping epidemic on a grand scale! Oh, whatyou say about Dany! I can't wait to find out why! No Spoilers! I just started a Clash of Kings! Welcome from one newcomer to another!
Quorra
I keep answering that question with everything short of classical ballet and oriental/bellydance (and would definitely do that too, given the opportunity). Why? I am hard pressed keeping track of all the dances I do. On a very regular basis (two nights a week) I dance the 10 international competitive standard and latin dances: Slow waltz, tango, Viennese waltz, quickstep, slowfox(foxtrot), samba, chachachà, rumba, pasodoble, jive. But I don't actually compete: I dance for my partner's and my own enjoyment. Ocasionally I dance Sevillanas and some flamenco, lindy hop and other jazz/swing dances, salsa and Cuban rueda de casino, bachata if there's no other music in the house, Argentine tango de salón, and a few European folk dances. I used to do even more, and also used to teach the 10 dances and lindy hop and present on stage or in formation dances, but then the kids required me to stay home most nights. Some say I am a true dance enthusiast. Wowzers! I'm a dance enthusiast, too! I don't participate in nearly as many styles as you do, but I love to try anything and everything related to dance. I do not compete and I don't perform. It's a shame you don't continue to perform and teach! Maybe when the kids get older you will? My main love is classical ballet but I've taken a lot of modern, contemporary, and a scattering of jazz classes too. The occasional tap and hip hop. I just love ballet the most. Though I've never done pointe and probably never will becuase I have plenty of technique to work on without that added challenge. The expense of it, the necessary additional classes it would necessitate and the potential for pain and injury don't seem worth the investment although I would LOVE to try it just once! Do you attend a lot of performances? I don't attend as many as I probably should. For example, the Alvin Ailey troupe toured not that long ago and I regret not going when they were in town. There's a 3-day dance showcase coming up soon and I'm looking forward to it. It's a bunch of local companies plus a few visiting groups from out of state. Debora Bell
A place for people to post a message introducing themselves to the forum, if they wish to. It's entirely optional to post an introduction, but if you do want to post one, do so here rather than starting a new thread. It doest seem that way for a first time blogger. Highly intimitated by other posts & no interest in the books or films, just hooking up! Shit forum for us in the UK|

Moriath
Hello everyone. My other obsessions include Harry Potter, LoTR and Naruto. Picked up game of thrones at a bookstore two weeks ago, and I was hooked from the very first page. I love the extensive world and the complex characters. The characters of Varys and Littlefinger intrigue me the most. My favourite character is Ned Stark. I've finished three books and am halfway through the fourth, so I thought I should join a forum. Funny thing is when I google searched ir, I discovered that this series already has a TV adaptation. Then I saw this great community and thought I should join in. I look forward to meeting, befriending and debating with you guys. Cheers. \O/ Edited July 3, 2016 by Moriath
Jon Weirgaryen
I've finished three books and am halfway through the fourth, so I thought I should join a forum. Welcome Moriath to the forum.Since you have not read all the books, be very careful of spoilers - you may want to limit your participation to the forums dealing with the books you have already read. If you already own A Dance with Dragons and feel perky you may ponder to read the combined way of reading A Feast for Crows and A Dance with Dragons as proposed in the link in my signature. ;)
Moriath
I'll definitely try reading the way you suggested senpai! :D. And thanks for the warm welcome!I don't mind spoilers at all. Actually, this makes it even more interesting for me because I'm able to delve deeper into the mind of the characters and notice more details, because I know what's gonna happen and can focus on the events leading up to that end :D Edited April 29, 2015 by Moriath

She's Our Quaithe
I made a thread by mistake, my apologies. I will just copy / paste what I wrote there in case it is deleted. Hi everyone. I just finished reading ASoS and I am really excited to be here participating on the message board. I am treading lightly because I have not yet finished all of the books, but I look forward to lengthy discussions about everything from L+R=J to who we want to hear POV chapters from before the end (ADoS)? :) Anyway, I just wanted to say hello, not start an on topic discussion in the one place it isn't meant for, so HI all of you wonderful people!!! I look forward to interacting with you :)

On killing your own thread: Edit it. Then use the "more Reply Options" button. Now you can change the thread subect to "please DELETE". Replace the contents with the same "please DELETE". Save it. Use the "Report" button next, briefly explain to the gods mods that this thread should disappear. That should safely do it.
