Of course, what South Korea calls a "second wave" is what we would call "Tuesday".

It had been a long time since I checked S. Korea numbers. Let's see: 26k+ cases, 466 deaths with a population of 51.6 millons

Japan: 101k+ cases, 1766 deaths, with a population of 126.5 millions

Both are countries with aging populations and very dense and complex cities. AFAIK, none of these countries did a lockdown, but they took things seriously.

There is a very slight upwards trend of late, but it needs confirmation.

It seems that for some reason, covid-19 has become a really serious problem only for western societies.
