Lord O' Bones
Booo! Mountain View sucks. Seconded. What, you don't like strip mall hell? I'd call you out, only you're right, dammit. I'm so glad that I live downtown. My opinion is that Mountain View is "clearly not as cool as it should be."

This is in fact downtown. Whatever you were referring to is not "downtown".

Which, I am ashamed to admit, is better than where I live.
Teri
Mountain View has lots of good Indian buffets, you can say that for it.

If there's one thing I never need to see again, as long as I live, more than war, famine, or plague, it's an Indian buffet.

Teri's right, though...and I for one appreciate her positive thinking. Makes me feel less shitty about living here.
Kat
The only places I have eaten in Mountain View are at the Indian buffets downtown. They were good. There were some other restaurants that looked tasty and moderately priced as well, so I wouldn't be opposed to having some sort of BWB event on the peninsula in case you peninsula folks get tired of coming to the city. I say that because I hear there's a good karaoke place in Mountain View too. I don't do event planning because I'm too indecisive and lame, but does anyone like karaoke? While I'm always down for an event where I don't have to worry about driving home, part of the fun of BwB events is getting the hell off the peninsula. That being said, count me in for laughing at people doing karaoke!
Lann
i would be down for an event on the peninsula, what the hell? as for karaoke, i try not to attend, because i always swear it off, but after several drinks all i want to do is sing!!
Bronn Stone
I was thinking seriously about proposing another Friday evening thing - maybe doing the Larkspur Ferry idea from before. How is next Friday (the 12th) for people?
Arbor Gold
Should we move this to the NorCal thread? I like the ferry idea, or even just another "hang out in a bar in SF" gathering.
Bronn Stone
We put things in any effin thread we please, dammit. Quick folks, follow the nekkid girl over to the NorCal thread, Pronto!
Eddard Stark
For those who are curious, I ended up moving to Van Ness & Ellis, right in the heart of the city. I've got a kickass apartment, although it's a little pricey. I'll catch everyone next week. DK
Bazzlebane
Nice. I've got a friend right at that corner, actually. Close to plenty of restaurants, a couple movie theaters, and bars. Well done.
