No reason to. Ryger and Grell are heading to the Wall already, most likely with information Edmure related to them about Robb's will.

did they ever reach the wall?

I don't think so I think these two joined the blackfish under jonos bracken (whos is helping the BF tand the other part of the BWB)

the Blackfish needs an army.he is going to vale i would think from all those years of serving in the vale he has a lot of friends.once he sees sansa he will know and littlefinger will die.sansa will marry harry an go to support her brothers they will deal with the freys an head north..alot is gonna happen.along the way north Jamie is gonna end up encountering the blackfish but by then they will end up being on same side.the others are the real threat.the wa rfor the throne means nothing if the others destroy mankind

I wish the Blackfish would find another castle to hole up in, if only to hear him deliver another stunning dialogue during a parley. There are only 2 parleys in Asoiaf but they are both some of the best lines in the books!

There are a lot more than 2 parlays in the series. Theon with Rodrick, Jon with Mance, Stannis and co with the castellan of Storms End who Melissandre later killed via shadow baby, Stannis and co with Renly and co, Jaime with BF, Jaime with lord Blackwood, thats all that I can think of.

I was thinking of Jaime and Stannis parleys, and how funny the dialogue is. None of those fit these two in the mold of "guy walks out of a castle under siege and talks like Samuel L Jackson at the besieger". Except the Theon one... that one I don't even remember. But hey 2/3 isn't bad at all!

I'm under the assumption

A ) That he doesn't have a pregnant JW with him b/c she was seen walking out of Riverrun with her family and her family has shown they fear the Lannisters too much to betray them and her mother in law was ensuring she didn't get pregnant.

B ) The BF holds true to Family, Duty, Honor. And he knows it's pointless to take Riverrun again without rescuing Edmure, since the Lannisters will just pull the same rouse and threaten Edmure.

Therefore I believe he is linking up with the "good" version of BWB and going to organize a raid on the Lannisters heading back to Casterly Rock with Edmure.

Once he safely has Edmure and his wife, he will use Tom and other BWB members inside Riverrun to retake the Castle.

With the Iron Throne in disarray the other river lords one by one accept Tully rule again. Riverrun allies with the Taergaryns against the Lannisters-Tyrell alliance.

I'm intrigued by the notion that he could still be in Riverrun. But that would serve no purpose, as retaking it so soon would condemn Edmure, his wife and unborn child.

No way he leaves the Riverlands to pursue some other fantasy story arc does not accomplish the task of rescuing Edmure and retaking RR

Maybe the Blackfish will be of more use if he goes to the BwB. It'll be interesting to see how he deals with his own niece, Lady Stoneheart. Also, with the BwB on his side, he's got Tom o' Sevens undercover in Riverrun. The Freys' hold on Riverrun is unstable and Petyr Baelish (Lord of Harrenhal and Lord Paramount of the Trident) is currently absent from his seat, so maybe there'll be a rebellion of some kind. I don't see what he can do at the Vale. He's currently an outlaw and Petyr will probably recognize when he sees him. Maybe on of the Vale lords will hide him. He's lived in the Vale for so long he's probably got connections. Unless he finds a way to change his face so that Petyr won't recognize him, I don't see what he can do but sit on his hands and hide. If he does manage to remain in disguise, he might be able to contact Sansa and who knows what can happen after that.

I think Blackfish is going to Greywater Watch. Reed's men are pretty much still intact and with Blackfish as their commander, a lot can be said and done. Time for the crocs to join the fray with a big black trout as their general.

That's an interesting idea. If he does go there, i hop he gets a couple chapters of his own. we can finally know wat happened to the crew robb sent there and maybe howland reed will finally reveal jon's true parentage

The Blackfish is going to lead some sort of resistance against the Frey regime in the Riverlands. I think we can all agree that's the likely course of action for a salty old soldier who just lost most of his family to traitors and murderers whom are now ruling with an iron fist. The question is where he will go to gather his strength.

Riverrun? Is it possible he never left? He could be lurking in some hidden part of the castle with a plan to open the gate for a liberating army. He would have to be in communication with other Riverlords for this plan to work, however. I think he truly did escape.

Brotherhood without Banners? This is a possibility. After escaping, the Blackfish could be intercepted by the Brotherhood. Blackfish, along with Greatjon, was one of King Robb's chief advisers and councillors. He developed a lot of the strategies for which Robb is credited. With someone like Blackfish leading the Brotherhood, it could become an extremely potent guerrilla force. Since Catelyn is in charge, I think it's likely that she tries to enlist her brother, the Blackfish.

The Vale? This is perhaps the most obvious. The Blackfish has old ties there, and unlike the Riverlands, an occupied war zone where he's a fugitive, it is neutral territory. The Vale would be the perfect place for the Blackfish to regroup. Of course, he is not expecting to encounter Sansa there; that would throw him for a loop. If anything, however, Littlefinger could use Blackfish to rally support for his planned intervention in the war.

Essos? Blackfish is not going to leave Westeros, especially if that means allying with a Targaryen. The Freys may want to subjugate the Riverlands, but the Targaryens want to subjugate all of Westeros. The Blackfish is too smart to jump out of the frying pan and into the fire and blood. I also think that grand diplomacy like that is not in the Blackfish's character. He's going to do what he knows best, which is fight, not travel overseas to court alliances with strangers. Blackfish is not exactly the diplomatic type.

Personally, I think that the Brotherhood and the Vale are the most likely destinations for the Blackfish. It's also possible that we get both! Maybe the Brotherhood escorts him to the border, for instance?

Write like the wind, George!

Well Brynden Tully is no ordinary man: When he goes hunting the Deer offer themselves up to him. When he fishes, the fish provide the bait for the hook to him.

Besides, when near GWW, take the simple route to finding it. Make camp with 10foot flag pole with the Direwolf banner flying. The Reeds find you.

Spoken truly.

Maybe the answer lies somewhere in this thread, but I'm feeling a bit under the weather and lazy as hell, so can anyone tell me whether the Blackfish was a witness to Robb's will where Jon Snow is effectively legitimized and made heir to Winterfell?

The Blackfish never did take down the Direwolf banner from the towers of Riverrun...

Based on his comments to Jaime, where the bf says he thinks the crown made Jon Snow the LC of the nights watch I think he was not a witness.
