The Answer
Most aren't worth consideration. But I do like Meera. And I do like Jaime.
Cat of the Canal Girl
Not if my kid would have to spell the name for every new person who needed to write it. I've lived my life with a last name that I need to spell out whenever I go to appointment or anything and it sucks.
Grand Vizier Zigzag
Targaryen names would make a nightmare for teachers and the likes to keep track of. Imagine a day-care filled with Daeneryses and Aegons. :frown5:Many regular westorosi names are really nice though, like Arya and Brandon.
Lady of Long Lake
Sure, if I could!Benjen and Arya are beautiful names:)
Winter's Ghost
I think the "normal" names like Jon, Robb, Brandon, Jaime (spelt Jamie) would be fine. I also like the names Arya, Sansa, and Lyanna. I also like Elia. I'm not sure I would use those names, but I wouldn't find it strange if someone were to do so. The Lord's Kiss
If I ever do have kids, I want to name my son James, so my nickname for him will always be "Jaime." Bran, Jon, or Robb would be cool too, the rest seem too foreign and would get boys mocked mercilessly. For girls, Sansa and Arya are of course perfect, though I do like Asha too. Flig
I'm naming my firstborn "The Ned."It is known.
Tony Soprano
Why not? Robert and Jaime are pretty normal names. As for girls, Lyanna sounds like a pretty cool name.

Florina Laufeyson
I..sorta already have a name like that: Jaime (spelt Jamie)*shifty eyes* Arya, Eddard, Stannis, Renly, Sansa, Mance, Catelyn (said CAT-e-Lyn), Meera, Benjen, and Jorah are nice names though. TwoHeadedSnake
If wife had twins, one of each gender, I'd be tempted to name the girl Delores and the boy Ed. I also think Tyrion would be a badtastic name for a kid, and I like the Scandinavian flavor of Ygritte. But my child-naming days are past, and I'm happy with my kids' names as they are: George and Martin ;)
Lady B Pudding
Some of the names I wouldn't dare give a kid because I've had people butcher my name and it's not as unusual as some of them in the series. But I do love the names Arya and Theon.
Askatla
Asha is a fairly common ethnic (Indian) name where I live; there have been 4 of them at the school my husband works at. Arya is also quite close to Aryan, and we've got at least two boys here named that -- I wouldn't be surprised if Arya was equally acceptable due to its similarity.
