I like the look, but can she pull off the actual acting? I don't pretend to have ever watched George Lopez, so I can't say, but that is the look I hope they go for. Consistency is important: They already cast a Chilean man as Oberyn, I think someone with Aimee Garcia's look would be perfect.

I haven't seen George Lopez either, I know her from Dexter. She is in what is admittedly a minor role, but so far I have enjoyed all of her scenes. She also isn't afraid to get her top off on camera, so D&D would see that as a plus, especially in the role of Arianne.

I was thinking about this last Sunday when watching Dexter. I think she has a good look. Young, short, but doesn't look too old. A bit less voluptuous than what I pictured but it could work I suppose.

I still think however they end up going for another more underground actor that fits the bill. They have a way of getting people out of left field who are perfect so heres hoping.

Depends on who they cast in other roles. Filipinos are mistaken for Latin Americans in my area to the point that it is comical, but I have never seen it. As such, if we end up with a cast of individuals from South and Central America, I feel like a Filipino will stand out (this is purely subjective).

Otherwise, I wouldn't disapprove (though Game of Thrones is a big jump from Pretty Little Liars). The more I look at her the more I like her.

I am so anxious to see how the remainder of House Martell is cast, simply because it is my favorite house!

I'm still picturing Arianne as Marina Diamandis although the odds are non-existent. Hopefully we get a casting video at Comic Con. Gah. I can't wait!

Well based on who they chose to cast as Oberyn(Perdo Pascal) I'm thinking they'll cast someone that looks along the lines of Emmanuelle Chriqui.

Dark hair, dark eyes, beautiful olive skin, exotic ethnic background(Moroccan/Israeli ancestry), and she has a prior working relationship with HBO when she was on Entourage. Although she's not quite as 'curvy' as Arianne is described to be, looks wise I still think she's perfect!

Ya but they're probably gonna play it safe and just go by how GRRM described Arianne in the books in which she is specifically described as only being similar to her Norvosi mother in height not looks....Put it this way in a recent interview GRRM said Magali Villeneuve's illustration of Arianne was the favorite illustration he's seen of her so far :

I don't think guys understand got GoT casting works. They will select actors on their acting skills first and foremost before even attempting to see if this person is attractive, curvy, sexy, etc.

Which by all accounts, eliminates almost 90% of the suggestions in this thread.

Personally, I think they should get Marisa Ramirez. She was in Spartacus so she has experience in getting nude and acting in midevil type setting.

I think we all understand that, however it would be nice if we had somebody who resembled the character in the books. Certainly Arianne's attractiveness is a big part of her character and how she interacts with people.
