She's the right age, and while I'm unsure of her ethnicity (I know people around here enjoy getting riled up about that), I think she looks the part. I've seen some Youtube videos of her acting, and it's pretty good considering she's mainly known for soap operas. It would be interesting to see how she'd do with more challenging material. The woman HBO has chosen to play Ellaria Sand is Indira Varma and she's 40 in real life. Penelope Cruz is 39 in real life, so there's no way HBO is gonna cast Penelope Cruz as Arianne when Ellaria Sand is suppose to be like 15+ years older that Arianne in the books and Indira Varma would be only be a year older than Cruz in real life. Sorry but it's just not gonna happen, the only thing Cruz would've been perfect for in this show was Ellaria Sand, but as you can see that spot has already been filled..... In the books we don't know if they will age Arianne up, nor is it really needed for story. She can still be in her early twenties, that would still put her in range of Viserys age in the show.
