Mulled Wino
Loved it. "I distrust you because you're not as smart as you think you are"And loved the last line when Cersei says "perhaps you should try to stop him from doing what he likes". "I will".Sounds like there definitely might be some adjustments to the book story after the PW
Dragonstoned
Funny how she said Tye-rells and he said Tyh-rells. And her saying CONtribute and him saying conTRIBute. Almost as if he was correcting her.Loved him turning the 'not as smart as you think you are' back on her too.
StannisandDaeny
I loved this too because Dan in one interview clearly thought Cersei was much smarter than she was, it was high time for Tywin to put her back in her place. And no this is not misogynistic, Cersei is not a good average for all women, and I do love seeing smart female characters like Daenerys and Margaery make the most of their wits on the show, too. Tourniquet
Tywin is one of the best casted characters on the show. I love his portrayal.
Gannicus
Tywin dresses down everyone doesn't he? But no doubt it was a great scene. Has there been a scene with Tywin that hasn't rocked?
Roose Seal
Should the "I will" be taken as a hint that Tywin might have been in on his grandson's poisoning?
Gannicus
Should the "I will" be taken as a hint that Tywin might have been in on his grandson's poisoning?I doubt it, but I hope that means we'll get the scene where he ushers him off to bed and the line "And any man who must say 'I am the king' is no true king at all." cuendillar
Should the "I will" be taken as a hint that Tywin might have been in on his grandson's poisoning? No more than his book line of teaching Joffrey "a sharp lesson", as he once did to Tyrion when he had the audacity to marry a commoner. Whatever Tywin's up to, King Festering Boil is not going to like it.
Greywolf2375
Should the "I will" be taken as a hint that Tywin might have been in on his grandson's poisoning? Not in my opinion.I take it more in the place of - whether they include it in the show or not - his dismissing the king from the council chambers and having the KG escort him out. Joffrey may be the King, but Tywin is in charge.
Our Blades Are Sharp
The sharp lesson will coincide with the line we've being hearing joff say in the promos methinks."..they are mine to torment." oh, joff :bang:
Former Lord of Winterfell
I've read there are going to be some QoT/Tywin scenes added that weren't in the book. Should be fantastic.
cybobbie
I loved the scene. Charles Dance portrays a perfect Tywin IMO, making easy for the character to dress down everyone. I really can't wait to see a scene with him and Joffrey.
Mulled Wino
I think its bigger than having the KG escort him out. Tyrion already slapped him. Im thinking one of three things1) as mentioned possibly tywin is indicated to have a part in the pw.2) joff's vrossbow comes back to bite tywin in te bowels for embarrassing joff. (Fired by tyrion though)3) tywin teaches him a new sharp lesson, not in the books.

Hotpie4theironthrone
Absolutely loved this scene.I hope they take it one further in the next episode with him planning to marry her off, as i think that is a very important in the book for Tywin's character, showing he doesn't give a fuck about Cersei and putting her in her place etc
Roose Seal
The Lannisters as a family are the best cast.I just want Charles Dance to record all the audiobooks. I could listen to that sharp deep voice of his all day long.
Dragonstoned
So far we've had a scene with Tywin and each of his children (Jaime s1, Tyrion and now Cersei s3) and he has owned them every time. He rinsed his family in the camp in s1 and sent Reginald Lannister away from Harrenhal in s2.Need more scenes with Tywin dressing down other Lannisters! Former Lord of Winterfell
The Lannisters as a family are the best cast.Agreed. The Cersei/Tywin relationship is just great. Cersei makes a great case for herself as being marginalized juss because she is a woman, and that otherwise, she's better qualified than any of them. And Lena Headley is great at both convincing the audience and herself that she's right. But the truth is that she has been a huge fuckup, first by boning her brother, then killing Robert, then her complete inability to control Joffrey, right from letting him kill Ned, to then having the entire capital pissed off at him. If she's going to claim "I've been ruling as Regent", then the Regent should have told the guards to take the little boy away and spare Ned's life, etc.. And Tywin, douche though he is, made that clear with very few words. Can't wait to see Dance's scene(s) with Diana Rigg.
Mother of Mini Dragons
Charles Dance has me completely loving Tywin and Tywin is anything but lovable. I am anticipating with much excitement seeing he and Jack Gleason eat up the scenery together in some upcoming episode. Why are they making us wait so long to see those two together? As a side note: The costumes this season are so incredibly beautiful, including Tywin's black outfit in the last 2 episodes. It makes him all the more imposing. I also had my mouth drop open at Sansa's dress in this episode. It was absolutely stunning, especially with her red hair.
