bloody_mummer
A golden hand is nice for court functions and what not, but when he is "in the field" he should have some form of spear or cutting blade attached to his right arm (or his armor)
Mladen
This is brilliant... He would be like a Wolverine of Westeros :)
Dany Girl
Yes, that would be awesome! Who needs a sword when you have a spear for a hand!
giant snake
Maybe better a shield that can't be knocked loose.
Hodor knows
I agree. I'm always imagining schemes where Jaime can make his "hand" more useful. With magic on the rebound, perhaps he will have something very useful.
DaarioKnowsBest
are scissors invented yet? he could go all Depp on Westerostrim bushes and whatnot
The Faceless Wolf
So Qyburn can reanimate a god damn corpse without a head but he couldn't reattach a hand? Weak.

Lady Nastja
This is brilliant... He would be like a Wolverine of Westeros :)Precisely! If he continued to train with his left hand and became a better swordsman with that hand, in addition to his new Wolverine-like claws then he may once again inspire fear in the hearts of men. kephv
I can't remember where I saw this but someone posted an image in one of the threads that linked to a story about an actual sixteenth or fifthteenth century knight who lost a hand and made a functioning prosthetic one that could grip. Jaime could definitely use something like that.
R'hllor the Fabulous
Is this the part where I make the obvious Evil Dead joke?Who needs a hand when you can have a chainsaw after all?

Jaime could definitely use something like that.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/G%C3%B6tz_von_BerlichingenThat would probably be that knight in question. It was a pretty rockin' prosthetic for its time. As is, if he made an appointment with Qyburn, he could probably get something really awesome set up.
kephv
^That's probably it.Also, I didn't even think about Qyburn. That guy could probably make him a new hand of flesh and somehow connect it to Jaime so as it's reanimated. But that's probably going too far. Hound Dog
But he'd still be lacking the flexibility of his wrist. All is lost. No prosthetic will ever make Jaime even half the man he once was.I am, however, all for him having a prosthetic specifically designed for eating and drinking. Maybe one with a spoon attached. Or a knife for cutting.
ViennaGirl
best thread ever. (and yes, agree that gold hand not very practical in battle, but not sure if any medieval prosthetic would be.)
R'hllor the Fabulous
The best thing Jaime could do is just slap a shield on his right arm, still not ideal, but better than any impractical weapon attached to his arm.
Djinn
He should dump the golden hand and get a golden lion claw. For fighting, a katar-like prosthetic is the best he can do.
