Seventh Pup
Okay so Richard feels sorry for the girl, but his pity raises his "thing", (pervert), and then he permanently disfigures, and beats the shit out of an 8 year old girl? You do not want Richard to feel sorry for you!
Errant Bard
Richard just prefers his lolitas on their knees and without teeth, when his thing rises up, obviously. He's feeling sorry for her, it's normal, who wouldn't be sorry for a permanently disfigured, mute young girl who used to have a bright future before? Sad King Billy
This is getting out of hand a bit (pun intended). The "thing" refers to some sort of power his sword gives him (no, not that sword, you pervs). Donno how it goes again, and I'd like to keep it that way. On a slightly different note, can anyone tell me why the keyboard in this picture has such a strange key placement? I can't come up with a single function for it... Moosicus
You do not want Richard to feel sorry for you! Mercy is for the weak. We do not train to be merciful here. When a man (or little girl) confronts you, he is the enemy, and the enemy deserves no mercy!
Sad King Billy
And we were against Robert Baratheon hitting Jeoffry why?

Thank you my brother for reminding me and bringing me back from the abyss that is pity and mercy!

Seventh Pup
And we were against Robert Baratheon hitting Jeoffry why? Because Robert was not supposed to be a paragone of virtue that every reader should try to ispire to!

The keyboard is one of those purported to help reduce carpel tunnel.

I don't mind the erogomonic keyboard, I use one like that at work. But most speculative fiction authors have an office that looks creative, looks cool. There should be stacks of books, action figures, things that kick the muse into gear. And instead it looks like an accountant's office (no offense to those in accounting) with that idjit sitting there in his off-white blazer looking into the camera like a deer into headlights. Tool. TLL17
Hello. You may already know about this, but Steven Erikson had this to say about Terry Goodkind: http://www.sffworld.com/interview/166p2.html Thought you may enjoy it.
Watcher
I like to think that I'm pretty jaded, but that passage really disturbs me. Richard is supposed to be a great fighter, war wizard and everything else. But he the only way he can handle an eight year old kid that's taunting him is to kick her teeth in! That is just sad. What kind of pathetic excuse for a hero are you if you can't outwit an eight year old?
