The_Bull
Since they live in a land of perpetual winter and seem to be made of ice themselves, what use could they have for Westeros? Do they grow frozen crops? Do they eat at all? Will a blanket of winter follow their army South with them? Say they conquer Westeros. Are they content at only 40% or so of the asoiaf world? If they came 10,000 years ago, does that mean they came before that and crossed the arm of dorne, fucking shit up in essos? If the others were so intelligent, couldn't they just build boats and go around the wall? Everything about these clowns is fishy.
Mladen
We will never know. Since Sam killed Puddles who was carrying official proposal to IT...
The Dornishman's Wife
Basically though, Old Nan says they're motivated out of hate for every warm living things iirc. More realistically they could simply be interested in world domination (as in: collect ALL the territory). In any case, I strongly doubt that they would stop after Westeros. King of Winters
We will never know. Since Sam killed Puddles who was carrying official proposal to IT...:bawl: Puddles was everything, and Lord of Ham killed him!I don't think the Others want to conquer all of Westeros, but want man to stay there side of the Wall, the south of it. The Lands Beyond the Wall belong to the "old powers" (COTF, Giants, Others), and man has gone against that and occupied all of the lands north of the Wall, to the Lands of Always Winter. Mladen
Good. But this is Now seriously, I believe it's, as you said, the world domination... That simple...

The Titan's Legitimate Son
They want to dance. And cry, and make love to your sons and bake cakes in the great ovens of Asshai. They want posters, posters of Samwell and Xhondo and Mero in compromising positions and the beating heart of a European Swallow and seven lemoncakes. Those are their demands! Jon Wolfwalker
World peace is probably what they want. They are very friendly after all.
Jon Blackfyre
They just want to be understood. Millennia have past and they still haven't learned the common tongue so it makes it hard for them to say "can't we all just get along?"
Som Tin Wong
It might be that they are sick of the cold and want to go south and enjoy the beaches.

Corvo Attano
They did want peace with the small pink meat sacks, until Samwell "Ser Piggy" Tarly brutally murdered Puddles in the most heinous hate crime in Westerosi history. Now they want vengeance.
Petyr Patter
Basically, they heard that Dorne is this happening place of easy women, fine wine, and "gardens of water" just waiting to be turned into ice skating rinks. Unfortunately, some kill joys built this giant wall.

Katkara
Usually GRRM creates villains that also have their good sides...also, in the War of the five Kings, there is no black and white/ good and evil side. So I'm not sure if the Others are really purely evil, but...what good aspects could they possibly have?
Eira Seren
RIP Puddles. They heard there were rubies in the Trident and that some chick is bringing dragons back to Westeros. They'd like to resupply their breeding stock, their dragon has gotten incredibly lonely.
