Gears of the Beast Posted October 19, 2014 Share Posted October 19, 2014 Well I guess being a MASSIVE Jones fan slightly skews my perspective but I loved that fight. Watching Jon Jones adjust his game plan and impose his beautiful array of techniques onto Glover was awesome. And I was nervous the entire time because Glover hits hard and Jones definitely had to absorb punches as part of his largely improvised game plan. And this, fucking genius, tears Glover's shoulder from an underhook early in the fight which reduces his power a lot. God I love Jon Jones. Only last week I was looking at a guy with that exact position wondering why he didn't pull the same crank. Bones has such a gift when it comes to staying mentally present enough to vary his game.
