What is the point of even-handed warfare and the game of thrones when dragons come along and have the capability to just kill everything - they are basically a rock-paper-gun, a gordian knot. Woulda' been really ace if they were actually somewhat intelligent and could talk :P But alas, I think it's probably better for the series if they do die at the end to be honest, and I love dragons.(I used to be bullied in school FOR loving dragons so much. I'd draw them all the time :P)BUT. Do you realize how many deaths were averted during the cold war because the US and USSR had nukes and knew nuclear war would be catastrophic. Every major power in the world has them because they are the best deterrent of war. They keep people in line. Do you think anyone dared to go to war in Westeros when the dragons were still around? I don't believe that, when the true war is over, that there will be any place in the world for dragons. That can be said for the Stark Direwolves too(even if it sucks to say). Crazy how that works.Heck, she's never even owned a dog, so she doesn't have much experience with pets.And she has been riding Drogon all over the place. I'm pretty sure he does not agree with the above sentiment, and I think it even less likely he would try to incorporate as a moral in his books.Also, there were tons of wars in Westeros while Targs ruled, it was hardly a nation of peace you claim it was that the noble dragons helped ensure.
