A lot of talk on the appropriate punishment for Arya Stark for the crimes of foul murder. Specifically, the murders of Dareon and the Insurance Underwriter. She is guilty of many more murders but some are claiming those others acts of self-defense. The old witch saw many more murders in Arya's short future but we can only judge and sentence for crimes already committed. There is no justice in punishing somebody for what they might do or what they are predicted to do. And this is about justice. Arya has no objections to handing the dead. A fair punishment for crimes already committed is a life time of servitude to the Silent Sisters. There obviously has to be a method to keep Arya from running away. And we can further speculate on how that might be accomplished. Perhaps a magic binder that will keep Arya bound to the Silent sisters or something of the like. This is fair in my opinion. At least she is given a chance for redemption even though she feels no guilt. Comment below and let me know if you consider this too light of a sentence. Too light or just right?

Daenerys is Azor Ahai Reborn
The Lord of the Crossing replied to James Fenimore Cooper XXII's topic in General (ASoIaF)
The gemstones is the birthstone of each person in the family. I think they are brothers and sisters and the children of the gods. The stones may indicate birth order. Since Amethyst was in charge it meant she was not the youngest. Daenerys is the youngest of the Targaryens. What is relevant today is she is Azor Ahai and the rightful ruler of Westeros. -
Catelyn, the Stoneheart
The Lord of the Crossing replied to Many-Faced Votary's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Arya should learn from that lesson but any meeting between them will not come before Arya has killed more people. Arya will have reached the point where she is not deserving of a better path. Kill a few more people and Arya will deserve the same worse than death punishment as Stoneheart. Arya should change her own path as soon as possible and choose peace to deserve redemption. -
Arya, the Darkheart
The Lord of the Crossing replied to H Wadsworth Longfellow's topic in General (ASoIaF)
The company she kept and keeps are only making Arya's condition worse. A lot of the readers liked the Hound but he was messed up in his own way. -
Biggest sore loser in the saga ?
The Lord of the Crossing replied to Terrorthatflapsinthenight9's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Doran Martell and Arya Stark are the ones who are the best candidates for the title. Doran and Arya are blinded by hate. They want revenge. Arya does more than plan. She kills. -
The Starks' Greatest Feat
The Lord of the Crossing replied to Craving Peaches's topic in General (ASoIaF)
The Starks were just as bad. They were sacrificing people and animals to the Weirwoods. The Starks didn't wipe out the Boltons because they couldn't. The Boltons also had loyal followers. -
Arya, the Darkheart
The Lord of the Crossing replied to H Wadsworth Longfellow's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Any detention facility housing Arya must be tightly secured. Her small size could squeeze through small spaces. I am thinking George would rather kill her off. I also do not think Arya will go to prison for her terrible crimes. It's just too bad she will almost certainly get a second life in her wolf. -
Arya, the Darkheart

That's not punishment. Lock Arya in a cell and let the Silent Sisters care for her with compassion until she leaves the world of the living. It is confinement for life but she will be fed and cared for. -
Sansa is slowly killing Sweetrobin
The Lord of the Crossing replied to Kierria's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Contrary only because Sansa is neither brave nor bold. But if Petyr dangles a sweet prize. She could work up the courage to murder her little cousin. -

She's doing more than that. She's over dosing him with dangerous sedatives. Robert Arryn needs an adult to protect him from Petyr Baelish and Sansa Stark. -
George R. R. Martin on The Unsullied
The Lord of the Crossing replied to Only 89 selfies today's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Amazed at the dedication of those who maintain their ground and look for relevant clues. The Unsullied are awesome. They are my favorite fighting unit. -
Hope for the Frey family
The Lord of the Crossing replied to James Fenimore Cooper XXII's topic in General (ASoIaF)
The red wedding was a war strategy to get rid of a rebellious lord who got into his head to declare a portion of Westeros as his own kingdom. It may have saved a lot of loyalists' lives. Many more lives on both sides would have been lost if they had fought a traditional battle. -
Hope for the Frey family
The Lord of the Crossing replied to James Fenimore Cooper XXII's topic in General (ASoIaF)
The Freys do not deserve any more punishment. Cat and the nasty Wayman have done enough. Punish the Starks for dragging the Freys into their rebellion. -
Daenerys is Azor Ahai Reborn
The Lord of the Crossing replied to James Fenimore Cooper XXII's topic in General (ASoIaF)
It is pretty much confirmed. The hatching of her dragons confirmed Dany as Azor Ahai. -
Daenerys is Azor Ahai Reborn
The Lord of the Crossing replied to James Fenimore Cooper XXII's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Dany is going through the journey that all heroes go through. Slavery was not going away without the bad people who kept slaves putting up a fight. One of her task to reach greatness is to defeat the slavers. Her arc will lead her to rule Westeros and parts of Essos. Azor Ahai is only one of her roles but one that she has to accept before earning the iron throne. -
Daenerys is Azor Ahai Reborn
The Lord of the Crossing replied to James Fenimore Cooper XXII's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Three deaths were needed to bring three dragons back to life. Three deaths paid for three lives. A cool theory has been floated that souls are limited. Souls are recycled. Rhaego's soul is in Rhaegal, Viserys is in Viserion, and Drogo is in Drogon. Memories are gone but the soul remains alive. -

Many of these glass like swords exists. And perhaps one sword to rule them all. Swords instead of rings. GM was paying tribute to Tolkien. -
Daenerys is Azor Ahai Reborn
The Lord of the Crossing replied to James Fenimore Cooper XXII's topic in General (ASoIaF)
The Daynes have peculiar physical appearance. So funny that you should mention the possibility of a link between the candles and the old men in the hallway. The Daynes are light blonde hair and blue eyed. Dawn lit in Arthur's hands. I know it's Dany who is descended from those kings but that doesn't mean they don't have other descendants still around. I'm sold on the original poster's theory, Dany is the current Azor Ahai, and I also believe there will be other heroes who will have their own weapons against the ice walkers. Most of them will not become famous or get their names recorded in songs and stories but they will play important roles. This Dayne kid, Ned Dayne should be one of them. House Dayne could be related to the Opal king. -
Garbage. I gave it a 1. Jon Snow should have stayed dead. Davos suddenly becoming Jon's best buddy makes no sense and not supported by their interactions last season.
