I'll finally play Cyberpunk with all the updates, DLCs and the expansion after Christmas. I played the game at release, loved it so much despite the bugs, finished within two months and haven't touched it since. Can't wait to see how much it changed.

It's certainly not bad. Some people like it, some don't but if you like The Witcher you should give it a try for sure. I, for one, really liked it, and the negative reception of some people did confuse me, but I still consider it an essential read, even if afterwards you'd feel like you won't reread it anytime soon.

Probably not hundreds of years: Andrzej Sapkowski on his new Witcher book: “It is about Geralt” During the Vienna Comic Con event, Andrzej Sapkowski was interviewed by Beyond Pixels in German and one of the questions was about the upcoming Witcher book that will be out next Winter. Asked whether this book will lead to more entries in the saga, he said: “No, that’s not my plan now. This new book is going to be a standalone but…maybe, who can say.“ Further, he said: “The book is directly about Geralt, but I won’t say more. […] It is outside the pentalogy.“ This confirms the theories about the timeline in which this book will be set. Just like Season of Storms, it seems to be outside the pentalogy that started with Blood of Elves and set somewhere between the short stories. Source But it also means that he won't overwrite whatever the games have done to the continuity, so that's some excellent news. I was afraid he was going to write a sequel of spite, and I wouldn't be able to handle that as a fan of both books and games (and a Pole). It should be noted that these two have different continuities or canons, but they rarely — if ever — overlap.

As a worldbuilding hobbyist and a dungeon master, I constantly reuse names and sometimes even characters in my stories and adventures. But that doesn't mean that these worlds are connected (especially now since I abandoned my original worlds, and we play D&D or The Witcher in their respective original universes). These are just nods, lil bits of familiarity for people who can say “I've been there when that player character was just created” when I introduce some old hero as an NPC.

The spurs are the only element of the story that is odd and might be explained in detail some other time, but otherwise I don't see the point of such theories. Jaime was just 16, he witnessed the murder of a great lord and his heir, and he was growing more disillusioned with the king by the day, so his view of the proper order of the world was breaking apart. Of course he disassociated. And Ned not telling Bran his relatives died such horrific death until the boy is old enough was a kindness.

House of the Dragon in Early Summer

Oscar Isaac as Baelor would be perfect, he's a great actor with a wide range (as seen in Moon Knight). I can't wait for more news.
