So the new GK we signed from Valencia, Mamardashvili let in 7 goals against Barca ! For context, Valencia are 2nd from bottom and likely to get relegated but still I'm not sold on this guy as Allison replacement. I much rather Kelleher succeed Alli . -

The Children of Blood and Bone Movie Adaptation Has Cast Four Excellent Stars and an Incredible Ensemble https://variety.com/2025/film/news/children-of-blood-and-bone-cast-release-date-thuso-mbedu-amandla-stenberg-damson-idris-tosin-cole-1236251360/ Thuso Mbedu, Amandla Stenberg, Damson Idris and Tosin Cole are taking on the lead roles in the highly-anticipated film adaptation of “Children of Blood and Bone.” Gina Prince-Bythewood is directing the action fantasy film, based on Tomi Adeyemi’s bestselling novel, for Paramount Pictures. The studio has also dated the film for release on Jan. 15, 2027 in Imax. Mbedu, who previously starred in Prince-Bythewood’s historical epic “The Woman King,” will play Zelie, a young woman living in a fantasy African kingdom who embarks on a quest to reclaim the magic that was violently stolen from her people by the ruthless King Saran. The film’s larger ensemble is absolutely stacked with stars: Viola Davis as Mama Agba; Cynthia Erivo as Admiral Kaea; Idris Elba as Lekan; Lashana Lynch as Jumoke; and Chiwetel Ejiofor as King Saran. ‘Crossed’ Movie, From ‘The Boys’ Creator Garth Ennis, Lands Director (Exclusive) https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/movies/movie-news/garth-ennis-crossed-movie-lands-director-1236114329/ The Crossed movie has marked its director. Filmmaker Rob Jabbaz will helm a feature based on the comic book taking place in a pandemic-stricken world, in which those who catch a disease are marked with a cross-like rash on their faces. The Boys and Preacher creator Garth Ennis penned the script, based on his comic book of the same name. Jabbaz knows a thing or two about horrific pandemics. He is behind the Taiwanese horror film The Sadness, which dealt with a virus that turned people violent — in a unique spin on the zombie drama. The film earned strong reviews and won best horror film and best director at Fantastic Fest, the Austin genre-centric festival. -

Mid is too polite, the ratings on imdb and RT are 4.2 and 24% respectively! Slate calling it horrendous! Section 31 Should Have Been Left in the Shadows Paramount+’s television film about Star Trek’s infamous—and controversial—black-ops unit is a warp-core meltdown disaster. https://slate.com/culture/2025/01/star-trek-section-31-michelle-yeoh-movie-paramount.html -

Man City accused of encouraging player to break contract https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/articles/ckg7rj9e4rdo Real Valladolid have accused Manchester City of encouraging one of their players to break his contract to force through a move to the Premier League club. Defender Juma Bah told the Spanish club on Tuesday that he intends to terminate his contract, allowing City to sign the player for a much lower fee. City had sent a request to Valladolid earlier in the day asking to begin negotiations over a permanent deal for the 18-year-old, Valladolid said in a statement. Bah then did not turn up for training on Wednesday, with the Spanish Football Association confirming he had deposited the necessary amount to terminate his contract. Valladolid say the teenager's decision was "supposedly supported and guided by Manchester City and his agent" and has "caused great disappointment and indignation". "The club considers that Manchester City is behind the player's decision, and appears to have advised the player to take this route." The 18-year-old joined Valladolid on a season-long loan from AIK Freetong in his native Sierra Leone last summer and the club exercised a clause earlier this month to turn it into a permanent deal. But Bah is still under a youth contract and has so far refused to sign a senior deal that would significantly increase his release clause. -

Sword of Shadows: Some Questions
AncalagonTheBlack replied to Garlan the Gallant's topic in Literature
Why not any of the other characters, I hear you ask? The answer to that is kind of complicated. Quantum entanglement will definitely be happening between Effie, Ash, Baralis and Raif's storylines. Actions taken in one part of the North will have direct and immediate consequences in another. Things are about to get super complicated. This whole entangled timeline is going to be one hell of a mother to write and I'm not sure how I'm going to do it just yet. So in the fine tradition of procrastinators everywhere, I'm rolling the problem down the road with the intent of tackling it at some undetermined point in the future. Wish me luck. Getting GRRM PTSD after reading that! but only 9 chapters left to write yay! -

Amorim on Sky: It is clear. I'm not going to change how I see the game, I'm clear on that. The players are going to suffer, the fans are going to suffer, I'm sorry. I have one way of doing things but we need to survive this moment. It's very clear for everybody what we are going to do. United fans in for a world of pain! -
