  1. Pence went on and on today defending his actions in every way he could...yet still couldn't say Trump's name. He's struggling to try to actually be considered a candidate, when he's never had a chance. And for all of his protestations that he, "did the right thing ", he still can't actually finish the job because it has to mean he has to acknowledge he isn't going to be President. There's no needle for you the thread, Mike. Not when the rope being used to thread is the type used to tie up aircraft carriers to the dock...
  2. Let's drop some stuff in Georgia tomorrow now too, you know, just for funsies...
  3. More indictments! Wheeeeee! (Still technically unnamed at the moment.)
  4. I have been sitting on this for a week...hemming and hawing if I was going to use it as my vacation starter this coming weekend...and since I hemmed and hawed, it's not my vacation starter this weekend...
  5. Huh. Had not seen that proposed bill. Oddly, I know someone from that town mentioned. It's Northern Wisconsin, and thus does not surprise me in their desire to back such a bill. Obviously, even without the additional baggage, and connotations, that such a law would bring, it's just stupid. As someone who works in F&B, such such a draconian law pass, I would vehemently oppose using it, no matter how badly I might need staff. Just ugh. Republicans and Conservatives will do absolutely anything to avoid allowing people to do better for themselves and be able to actually live.
  6. Worf screwed up Klingons? That I don't buy...Kingons didn't really get interesting until "Sins of the Father" and it got better from there...
  7. And the little blue bird app icon finally disappeared from my screen. Twitter should be deleted, if for no other reason, that the "X" symbol is kinda offensive to the eye...
  8. It's also ridiculous, as it was during the Dominion War, that the Enterprise, supposedly the Flagship of the Fleet, isn't part of the war...
  9. As someone who could never warmed to Discovery, thus not seen more than the first fifteen minutes or so of the first episode, what is the timeline here? How long prior to SNW are we talking with regards to the Klingon War?
  10. Somehow I didn't expect a new episode to drop today after the early release of the crossover episode... be back in a while...
  11. Honestly, I'm only still there as I continue to try to remember all of the people I follow/want to follow on Bluesky (and possibly still Threads, though that feel like it was meant to be a flash-in-the-pan trolling of Twitter...)
  12. How did I miss the Easter egg of the Jerry O'Connell cameo at the end as Ransom, declaring Una, "Numero Una, hottest first officer in Star Fleet"...
  13. Good, not earth shattering, end to Secret Wars.
  14. I see the thread title and then keep seeing things like this...
  15. Ohmigods...anything Kay, read by Simon Vance...just amazing. (Really any Kay, but especially the Vance read ones.) Because I don't always pay attention overall, I prefer audiobooks I've read personally so if I do zone and miss a passage or two, I'm good overall...yet I find the need to pay attention to Kaybstories, regardless of how often I've already read and/or listened to them...I'm currently on a second listen of All the Seas of the World...
  16. Not just that, but it also continues to expand and give context to the nature of their TOS relationship... just really well done.
  17. It's simple You pick your team and then lose to me in the end, screaming into the void. That happens in this league more than anyone wants to admit.
  18. The tone and attitude of, "simply wanting have a debate about the topic" smacks more of someone older and deathly afraid that the things they prefer aren't what's popular with everyone else anymore. I don't think youth can be an excuse here. Lord know such an attitude isn't what a character such as Rodrigo Belmonte would espouse, you know, if someone was actually reading (or listening!) to his story...but I digress...
  19. That wasn't just freaking brilliant...it wasn't even a placeholder episode just for fun...it actually developed characters in SNW. And the title sequence! And that was just about the best thing I've ever seen in Trek in a long long time. Gonna go gush some more after watching Ready Room...
  20. Oh absolutely. I admit I almost never listen to a book I haven't already read. Listening to something I've read at least once just brings out so much more of the experience.
