  1. That's all good to read. I was surprised there hasn't been more talk about it. I'm curious do you find the re-use of the BOTW map detracts at all? That was the one thing I read that I was a little skeptical of.
  2. Yeah, he's right to have guilt. Just a lot of people seem to oversimplify that into "kendall killed a kid."
  3. Not to defend Kendall, but I often see people suggest that he "killed a kid" and I just don't get it. The kid grabbed the steering wheel and forced the car into the water. Kendall's reaction was terrible, but I don't see how he killed the kid.
  4. Sad to see it's streaming only though. Maybe they're going chronologically?
  5. I have a great Lower Decks idea after watching the Gorn episode of Star Trek. So like, it's a parody of the Enterprise Klingon augment virus storyline explaining something that didn't need to be explained. The idea is that the "Gorn" Kirk fought actually was a man in a rubber suit pretending to be a gorn. Like he is playing the part of a gorn. The why, I haven't settled on yet: A) He was a human abducted at a young age, like that one screeching kid from TNG. Wanting to adapt, he used real gorn skin to make his suit. bee) The Gorn abducted him on halloween because he was in one of those T-rex costumes C) He was a romulan agent and their plastic surgeon died. Like days before an important mission they had to wing it and went to party city. Edit: D) Boimler. Of course it would be boimler who accidentally killed the real gorn and had to fake it to preserve the timeline. Maybe an episode about the section 31 transporter clone version.
  6. I finished Enterprise. That finale is still one of the biggest wtf decisions in TV history. "People didn't really like this star trek, so lets make the finale an episode of TNG." Had they done the Riker thing on a random episode, it could have been neat. and maybe they could have had the crew act just a little different. The idea being that this is an approximation based on logs and not like, an actual recording somehow. I just watched Discovery and Strange New Worlds so I skipped them for now. Mostly I want to wanted to watch TOS again before revisiting SNW. But Ugh I do not like TOS. I love shitty horror movies so it's not like the acting. I actually love the bridge set and all the lights buttons and knobs. But the writing, fuck. In one episode the transporter is creating evil copies. Kirk and Spock and/or Mcoy establish that someone is impersonating him. Then they visit the transporter room and learn it's making evil copies of animals. They even say "we can't beam up the away team, or it might happen to them." but no one seems to realize what's happened. Wrath of Kahn onward, totally watchable. Star Trek V and The Motion Picture might be bad movies, but they have characters, not just actors reading lines off a page. It's probably more an issue with the medium at the time. As an exercise: imagine Spock's death if it happened during season three of the show. Same scenario, same production value.
  7. Back with LOST I was poring over screen grabs of maps, looking for clues. These days I just wait for other people to do it! Though it really just looks like a root to me. I don't think we're meant to get what the deal with the place coach found was. Just that's it's warm, presumably we'll find out why next week. It's kinda funny that earlier in the season Nat and Travis noted that it was super weird there was no snow at that spot, and then just moved on without investigating further.
  8. He was one of those actors where he'd pop up in something and by the end of the movie you were left wondering why you didn't see him in more things. Man this sucks.
  9. The funniest episode in a while. Fuches's "family" has been the best additon to the show. "You've told us this a number of times." That whole scene was perfect.
  10. Loved the part with the wives and mistresses. That little bit of kindness from Marcia was great. The idea that Greg was going to stop his grandfather from doing anything was hilariously misguided. Nice to finally get the story of what happned with Logan's sister Rose. And to see Greg's mom agian. Frank seems like the rare decent person in the company. God Culkin was good. I liked how after he's back in his seat he tries to explain away basic human emotion as being dehydrated, and then is visibly angry with himself.
  11. I had no idea this existed, but it needs to serve as the basis for the next series they do.
  12. Seems like they should have waited one more week to lock the other one. This one may well be archived before season three starts up. I can't believe we're at the finale already.
  13. I rewatched all three of these recently after Rings of Power. I know it's an old complaint, but I couldn't believe it when the ring was destroyed and I looked and there was still fifty-something minutes of movie left. And I think people still complain they left stuff out. Caught most of Mario today, that movie sends a dangerous message that climbing in random sewer pipes leads to colorful adventures. Did I miss it or did he never get a fire flower? Rewatched The Social Network last night and that movie holds up really well. According to wikipedia they've been talking about doing a sequel for a bit I'm not sure what the hold up is.
  14. Really big episode. Resist the urge to click the tag, Tywin!
  15. I was thinking one misstep the show made maybe was with Albert the war buddy turned FBI agent. I'm not sure I like how he just lets Barry go and then disappears off the show. I also wish they had more for D'Arcy Carden to do. Great character that the show has sadly mostly grown beyond. That little interview where she told her co-star how they almost fired here because she wasn't good yet was great.
  16. "I'm a father!" omg that killed me. Just amazing.
  17. Hey, James Cameron directed that movie. It can't be that bad. I haven't seen it in years though. Something to remedy.
  18. It seems like you want to watch a movie about a soccer team whose plane crashes and they have to resort to cannibalism. Weirdly enough, they have that too. I dunno like, it's YOUNG LOST and that's awesome. I wish LOST became a genra like WESTERN
  19. Right, at least this show isn't determined to pull the rug out above all else. I actually like the story of season two, but the order in which they told it was terrible. All in service of that M. Night Shamalan level twist. I don't think this season has been a big drop in quality. Like I said before I do think the Taissa plotline stalled. She was at "sacrificing the dog to win an election" I expected her story to get more exciting in season two but right now it seems like it was all just building to re-connecting with Van. She doesn't seem at all concerned for her son or her wife who she put in the hospital. I don't know about that. They just found the former's dismembered corpse and we have no idea what Walter's deal is yet, but he's clearly at least as insane as Misty. It seems like without these plotlines there'd be little plot left in the modern timeline.
  20. I do miss Logan. It reminds me of Westworld after Hopkins left. Though without the other problems Westworld had. I think the shows still quite interesting but I'm glad it's ending. I've never hated Roman more. Greg opening the can of lemon water and pouring it on the pollster's eyes was funny but is anyone really that stupid? I think if they wanted they could break the "season takes places over consecutive days" rule for the finale. Or the last bit of the finale. Connor's speach was great. Is this the first we've heard of his running mates?
  21. I read in the patch notes that the Stellaris devs tried to cut down on the number of notifications with this update. I've never been so inundated with them. I got into a war with a civilization of raiders, and they keep abducting people from one of my recently conqured planets. It's so annoying to have a constant stream of "one of your pops has been abducted!" notifications. I don't even care about this planet, I'm busy neutron sweeping on the other side of the galaxy. It's super hard to keep track of everything else with this constant stream of icons and dings. Why doesn't this game have more UI options... If I could just tell it to stop the game would be playable again. But I think I'm done with this run, for a very stupid reason.
  22. Kids love ridiculous people.
  23. @Deadlines? What Deadlines? I meant to mention, I have a four year old nephew who I went to see this weekend. He was suddenly so into Mario. For a bit all he wanted to do was "play" Mario Kart: Double Dash which means me playing it while he directs me. So I ask my sister "you took him to his first movie huh?" Nope. He hasn't seen it yet. He's just excited from talking to his pre-school friends and commercials or whatever.
  24. ...so Sony? Microsoft? I mean nintendo was first right? Someone else changed it. The best thing about the steam deck is that you can customize the controls for games that otherwise will not allow it. If I remember right Microsoft has something similar for accessibility on the Xbox. All companies should do that.
