  1. I agree with the Others not controlling the wights, and as for an invasion past the Wall, there have been so few of Others shown on page, makes me wonder if there is enough for any size of an army at all.

  3. Iowa was in a blizzard at the time, alot of snow and very cold. My sister lives there and confirmed the weather really affected turnout. She's a good Democrat and she happily stayed home. Weather affects turnout, and it did this time.

ABC News cancels New Hampshire Republican primary debate - ABC News (go.com) ABC News and WMUR are canceling their planned Republican primary debate in New Hampshire on Thursday, citing a lack of candidate participation. "Our intent was to host a debate coming out of the Iowa caucuses, but we always knew that would be contingent on the candidates and the outcome of the race," an ABC News spokesperson said in a statement. .... The decision comes shortly after a deadline set by ABC News and New Hampshire TV station WMUR for both former President Donald Trump and former U.N. Ambassador Nikki Haley to respond to their invitations to the debate by Tuesday afternoon. Neither campaign confirmed they would attend.
  5. Let them fight! Well, what is the wightification process though? How do the run of the mill wights behind Wall go from being dead to being walking dead? Are they associated with the Others or not? It's not clear how wights get animated, and if they are actually under Other control. Who controls Coldhands? The CotF know some about him, and that's where we get our info on him. Is it accurate? All these dead heads running around and hardly anything is known about them.
  6. Snow fell here for a short time. It was snow mixed with rain, and for a while there, the snowflakes were big fat ones. It's just a light rain now.
  7. I see Beric & LSH as fire wights and Coldhands as an ice wight, nothing earth shattering about this of course. If Coldhands was indeed a ranger of the NW, it seems he continues to range. However, we don't know if Coldhands has his own agency or is controlled by someone else. Robert Strong.....mysterious Knight brought in by Qyburn. A giant of man he becomes a King's Gaurd and is Cersei's personal gaurd. Huge, 8 ft tall, silent, doesn't eat, drink or use privy. A revenant, believed to be raised by necromancy by Qyburn, who may have used the dead Gregor to raise the mysterious Robert Strong. Like Gregor Clegane he is to be Cersei's champion at the end of her current trial. However, while the wights behind the Wall are also ice wights, what their animating force is I cannot say. Definitions: wight...animated corpse controlled by an outside entity or force. Just a few random thoughts.

  13. Cold Hands, I don’t have a favorite theory for him, just mostly don’t want him to have some secret identity. I do hope that if GRRM resolves his identity or origin, it’s done with an original idea, not a secret identity rehash.

  19. Christianity definitely believes in hell. How could they have an all loving gawd w/o hell? I'm only familiar with Christianity, as I was raised Catholic. (which at age 18 I walked away from and never looked back)
