The Dragons Hand
I found the post on their page, its pretty funny and scary that only one person questions that it might be satire. I might link the Barristan the bigot thread later on anyway Gods bless Hawkins Molly and her abilities of not-so-common-sense.

Dave the Unworthy
Oddly enough I've heard those exact words from a couple of my ex girlfriends. Perhaps the finest "that's what she said" ever

Taenqyrhae
Yeah, I just re-read all of this, and every time Slynt speaks he comes off as a snarky bastard with an arrogant and negative attitude to me. I too, cheered for joy when Jon continued Ned's tradition of putting an end to bullshit with his own sword. What "bullshit" did we see Ned putting an end to with his sword? A terrified old man trying to warn of impending doom? I don't recall him killing anybody else in the series.

thenedstark
What's with all the Janos sympathy lately anyways? Look up "do not blame the victim". Janos was the victim of a relentless and ruthless class system in Westeros. It was the equivalent to "Don't let the door hit you in the ass on your way out". What a way to condemn a self-made man who managed to pull himself up by his own bootstraps in the viper's nest of King's Landing!
Lord Lannister
Look up "do not blame the victim". Janos was the victim of a relentless and ruthless class system in Westeros. Maybe he was. Though it wasn't the class system that made him into the corrupt fellow that he was, self-made or not. Him flouting his "lord" title at every opportunity, even after he was exiled to the wall, didn't make him sympathetic to me at all either.
Taenqyrhae
There are indications that there may be some actual racism vs. smallfolk, not just classism. The class system has been in existence so long that there's indications that the commoners are evolving in a different direction from the nobles. For instance - smallfolk reach menarche a year before noble females. Normally, the age of menarche goes down as nutrition improves, so if smallfolk and nobles were from the same genetic population, that should be reversed and nobles should be getting their period earlier than smallfolk. Several people mention that they can tell by a person's features if they are noble or common, and a maester says that bastards (usually noble/smallfolk hybrids) mature quicker than nobles, which would also play into the apparent fact that the commoners have a significantly faster growth cycle than the nobles. The social class structure that has been in existence for many thousands of years has been so divisive that humans are beginning to separate into subspecies, and many nobles see the smallfolk as subhuman, and to them they AREN'T exactly human. (Westerosi) history is written, as they say, by the elites, which makes it least likely to help develop sympathies for the losing character. Janos was a fine example of a simple butcher's son pulling himself up with his own bootstraps. How many other lords and lordlings, like Tyrion or Jon, can lay claim to such achievements? Most of Westerosi elites were born to large, nepotistic and corrupt families which made them arrogant and corrupt from a young age.

ThePosterThatWasPromised
When I was reading the original post I thought you were trolling. That bit about Stannis and Davos... mocking him with the offer to make him hand? Didn't expect him to take a knighthood?
