How would you dealt with the grejoys?

He was the Prince, much more than a simple Lord.

Only in his own eyes, his family never held him in such high regard, and Im not even sure the children of the King in the Ironborn culture are regarded as princes and princesses because Asha is never refered to as a princess.

Theon also cares.

Only he had not expected it to be Benfred Tallhart.

His limp body was being dragged from the surf when Theon returned to his Sea Bitch. The masts of his longships stood outlined against

the sky along the pebbled beach. Of the fishing village, nothing remained but cold ashes that stank when it rained. The men had been put to

the sword, all but a handful that Theon had allowed to flee to bring the word to Torrhen’s Square. Their wives and daughters had been

claimed for salt wives, those who were young enough and fair. The crones and the ugly ones had simply been raped and killed, or taken for

thralls if they had useful skills and did not seem likely to cause trouble. - ACOK, Theon III.

He also scourges rapists once he captures Winterfell.

That's where you're mistaken. Balon isn't King until he declares independence. The ironborn are not a limited sovereign nation. They are vassals under the Iron Throne, just like any other part of the seven kingdoms.

It would be, if they did, yes. The only time they have since Aegon is whenever they have been in open rebellion, however. In which case the King's peace matters not a whit.

If the Starks can't defend it, then it might as well belong to the Iron Islands, in which case the "tax" ought to be paid to them instead.

By that logic if the Ironborn can't defend the Iron Islands from the Iron throne then the Iron Throne should rule over the islands.

It's Winterfell. He thinks of it as home. Stannis does'nt give a fuck if it's Wildlings, a group of people who's entire economy revolves around raiding Westeros, and kidnapping Westerosi women. No rapes means no rapes. Theon allows it for people he could'nt care less about, and only forbids it in the place he thinks of as home.

Absolute nonsense. Lannister men did it in the Riverlands. Stark men did it in the Riverlands and in the Westerlands. Cersei was correct when she said that Stannis' men will commit mass rapes and murders when they sack Kings Landing.

First, that was *during* war, the topic in of this discussion is what the Iron Throne should have done to the Ironborn *after* war. Nobody is saying that the Ironborn deserve punishment [just] for their actions during the war. The Ironborn rebelled because they wanted the "right" to reave in general -- i.e., a perpetual state of war. So (IMO), the discussion of what to do with the Ironborn is equivalent to "how do we get it through their head that we want them to stop raiding us?"

Second, the specific line of discussion to which I was replying was to one that a poster started by trying (and failing) to equate Ironborn activities with "greenlander" activities. I'm not saying that greenlanders *never* did some of the same things that the Ironborn do, just that the previous poster was wrong in equating some greenlander activities with some Ironborn activities.
