edd tollett:(
Wow great OP! I bet after Joanna left she fled to the riverlands and ran in to a small crannog man and stool his identity and has now worked her way to the head of a religious movement bent on taking out her lunatic daughter! Qhorin Halfhand and Yoren
If we combine this theory with the theory of Cersei and Jaime being Aerys children then Tyrion is a Targaryen as well and Aerys grandson. Which matters because, I dunno, I want to combine silly theories.

Kikajon
Now I would've been more surprised if it was that Tyrion is Cerseis mother. This is a theory worth a thread on its own! You forgot Benjen. We must never never forget Ben, for he'll be back!
Duckfield
It would make more sense than this if Tyrion is Cersei's mother

HexMachina
The wiki has some notable errors. This is one of them. Tyrion was an infant when Oberyn and Elia visited Casterly Rock, and Cersei was nine at the time. Yeah, it is a known issue with the people who contribute to the wiki. There is a link to Tyrion's age calculation in the references: Birth It is known that Tyrion had turned 23 by 298AC[76], showing that Tyrion 23 or older in 298AC: 22 turning 23 in 298AC, which places his birth in 275AC This shows that Tyrion cannot have been born after 275AC. However, it is possible that Tyrion was born before 275AC, as that would make him older than 23 in 298AC. In 300AC, Tyrion tells he was 10 years old in 283AC,[77] given the following options: 9 turning 10 in 283AC, placing his birth in 273AC 10 turning 11 in 283AC, placing his birth in 272AC No further specifications can be given. Tyrion was thus born in either 272AC or 273AC. Note: Oberyn Martell gives several accounts of having met Tyrion Lannister shortly after Tyrions birth. He states that Jaime and Cersei Lannister were “8 or 9 years old”,[78] but with Tyrions two options of 272AC and 273AC, combined with the birth of Jaime and Cersei in 266AC, it can be seen that in truth, Cersei and Jaime would have been either 5 years old (5 turning 6 in 272AC), 6 years old (5 turning 6 in 272AC or 6 turning 7 in 273AC) or 7 years old (6 turning 7 in 273AC). This shows that Oberyn’s account is rather untrustworthy, and cannot be used to narrow down Tyrion's birth year

A Highborn Maid
I've already seen this theory. Try again. Oh yeah? Did that theory include the revelation that Maggi Frog is actually Joanna Lannister. Nothing escapes my eye. You're welcome.
Lady Flandrensis
This proves without a doubt that Tyrion is actually Eric Clapton.

Lord Highland
Yes, so true OP. Melisandre actually has misread the prophecies because the Great Other, is really the Great Mother - Cercei. She will lead the ice-zombies (Mothers - that's why they take newborn babies, motherly instinct to care for them) to crush the forces of the Great Father - Daenerys Targaryen (father of Illyrio)
