The Second To Last Dragon
i can't seem to find any concrete textual evidence tywin actually used whores. someone prove me wrong please.
aryagonnakill#2
How about the whore in his bed? If you need more concrete proof a man uses whores than a whore being in his bed then I cannot help you.
The Second To Last Dragon
that could've EASILY been varys.
aryagonnakill#2
So basically what your saying is that you don't want Tywin to have been a hypocrite.... You could say it was possible Varys did almost anything, but all the evidence still points the other way. This is a circumstance where you would have to prove Tywin didn't whore, not the other way around.

VictarionsMonkeys
Evidence other than Shae in his bed (Something the TV Show confirmed was NOT a Varys move):-He spent a decent amount of time in Lys.-There is a tunnel from the Tower of the Hand to a brothel used by Tyrion to visit Shae. Varys said something along the lines of, "The tunnel was built for a Hand who had to be discrete."-He basically got off watching his men rape a young girl (Tysha).-He ordered the rape and murder of Elia Martell and her children and later sent Gregor Clegane on a rape and burn spree through the Riverlands. There are clues to him not only having a fondness for whores, but a Joffrey'esque sickening affinity for brutality. Tywin was more like Roose Bolton with his bad habits, clever and discrete. It creates an interesting parallel with Joffrey(or Jamie/Cersei) and Ramsey. In response to the OP: Yes, Tywin's whoring is a fact.
The Second To Last Dragon
okay, just like varys murdering kevan to create discontent in KL, he could of been like "here shae, here's 200 gold dragons, go bang tywin" while tywin was stuck on the crapper, because pycelle slipped him some lemon cake flavor laxatives
Chebyshov
How would that make him a hypocrite? "And make no mistake—this was the last time I will suffer you to bring shame onto House Lannister. You are done with whores. The next one I find in your bed, I’ll hang."
You Lie
that could've EASILY been varys.Define easily. When Tywin was done taking a shit it would have been hard not to notice a whore in his bed. Unless you are implying Varys kept a record of Tywin's time in the privy and planned it so that it coincides with Tyrion's entering and Shae's presence in the room (??????).Some things are up to dispute and others are simply not. This falls EASILY into the second category
Boarsbane
Evidence other than Shae in his bed (Something the TV Show confirmed was NOT a Varys move): -He spent a decent amount of time in Lys. -There is a tunnel from the Tower of the Hand to a brothel used by Tyrion to visit Shae. Varys said something along the lines of, "The tunnel was built for a Hand who had to be discrete." -He basically got off watching his men rape a young girl (Tysha). -He ordered the rape and murder of Elia Martell and her children and later sent Gregor Clegane on a rape and burn spree through the Riverlands. TV show doesn't confirm anything in the books And? He used the word "honor", do recall the Arryn words No he didn't, GRRM even said the scene was unpleasant to all involved so probably safe to assume he didn't "get off" to it What does any of that have to do with whores? Half of it isn't true anyways.
aryagonnakill#2
If we simply look at how Shae reacted when she heard someone coming it seems pretty clear she had just banged Tywin before he went to the bathroom. The fact that she was asleep shows us that Tywin had been in the bathroom a long time because he had been poisoned by widows blood.
WildBlood
There doesn't need to be more than Shae in his bed. That is a whore in his bed. Surely Varys didn't wait for him to take a shit then drag shae into his bed... I also think that the secret tunnel to the brothel was for him. Not everybody spending time in Lys goes to the pleasure houses in Lys. -There is a tunnel from the brother of Chataya, to a stable. There is no tunnel from the Tower of the Hand to the brothel. -Tywins description/reaction when Tysha was being raped is never described -Ordering brutal deeds does not mean he does them himself
Lion of the West
Tywin's whoring is fiction with little support in the text to base this theory on.
Pod The Impaler
Exactly one whore was found in his bed - and the reasons for that happening are completely unclear at this point.
WildBlood
Tywin's whoring is fiction with little support in the text to base this theory on. Except the fact that there was in fact a whore in his bed...
Lion of the West
Except the fact that there was in fact a whore in his bed... ...while he was on the privy and no one seems to have seen the whore enter his chamber as I recall it, including the two guards at his door. Looks to me like Varys planted Shae there.
