Littlefingers In The Air
Out of boredom, I was browsing the interweb for flights leaving from Cleveland to Dallas in late March. I ended up coming across flights from United Airlines that are going for $188. I would have immediately booked that, except for the fact that I came across this article and it suggests that, on average, the optimal booking time would be 47 days out, and that you're gonna get the absolute best fares between three and four months out. The trip would be from March 29th to April 5th. So, boarders, what would y'all do?
Elder Sister
Man, $188 is a heck of a deal. If it's round trip, I would book that sucker.
Iskaral Pust
I'd book now. That's a pretty low price. Even if you set up one of those websites to monitor that particular flight and notify you if it gets cheaper, it may never be this low again. Littlefingers In The Air
Y'all are right. Having a serious case of first world problems here.
Inigima
This may be one of the "satisficer vs maximizer" situations we've read about. Right now you're thinking as a maximizer, trying to get the absolute best deal you can. Even if you succeed, you've spent time and mental bandwidth for what probably won't be much of a gain anyway. And it might NOT work out to your advantage. If you're satisfied with it as a good price, take it and don't look back. If it gets a little cheaper, well, you still got a good price, no big deal. If it doesn't, or gets more expensive, great, it worked out for the best.
Howdyphillip
All I know is that if you book a flight to Dallas, and don't call me and hang out when you get here, I will wish injury to Lebron James and health to Johnny Manziel.
Littlefingers In The Air
I went ahead and listened to the advice here. Thanks y'all. A great deal is a great deal, even if it doesn't turn out to be the best deal. Phillip, I wouldn't dream of not hitting you up when I'm in town. Book that asap at that price.
