I don t think dead bodies without much coordination would be able to climb the Wall.

We don't know that for sure

Do you think the magic of the Wall extends into the ocean?

Not sure. There has to be a reason why they others and the wights can't just walk around eastwatch though

Do you remember if it is said that the cave is warded the same way as the Wall? Because if the magic aplied on the Wall is aplied in every inch of the cave is diferent from the magic being a barrier similar to the Wall. Because if it is a barrier they could throw dead bodies through the barrier and then reanimate them when they are inside...

The stories of the wall construction say that the children warded the wall. Their cavern is also warded and while I am sure they could use a trebuchet like device to hurl them through an opening, we do not know how wide of an effect the wards have

Now that's cool. This ambiguity points out the intriguing, annoying quality of prophesies, visions and dreams - which has been a part of our stories (in this world) for many thousands of years!

Indeed, LOL.  What exactly is the 'dark eye'.  Is it perhaps, the third eye?

Quote

A Game of Thrones - Bran III

Because winter is coming.

Bran looked at the crow on his shoulder, and the crow looked back. It had three eyes, and the third eye was full of a terrible knowledge. Bran looked down. There was nothing below him now but snow and cold and death, a frozen wasteland where jagged blue-white spires of ice waited to embrace him. They flew up at him like spears. He saw the bones of a thousand other dreamers impaled upon their points. He was desperately afraid.

Especially considering that the approach of the Others coincides with freezing, bitter cold and darkness. An ice path could thus be frozen right along the beach near the Wall, which the wights could use. (No need to freeze the entire salt sea!)

Any long distance hurling of wights would result in considerable breakage. Sure, they'd still be "animated", but it's hard to lumber along on broken legs or attack with broken arms! Also, it's a very slow way to transport lots of troops. I wouldn't expect to see this tactic used.
