Also I'm pretty sure we're going to see the time travel paradox in this movie with all this set up about the grandfather hitting dad with the car. George McFly was an avid bird watcher!!!! In the original story treatments, they considered having the time machine be a refrigerator but were concerned kids might be locking themselves in fridges after seeing the movie. They would have - that would have been an extremely negligent film choice. Plus, Deloreans are such unique cars, it's almost believable that they could go back in time. Not like some run of the mill Ford Escort or something.

I remember a very special Punky Brewster where one of the kids almost died after playing hide and go seek in a refrigerator. Clearly the 80s were a dangerous time. It's one of my favorite Crispin Glover lines/moments from one of my favorite movies.
Gaston de Foix
I don't blame Einstein for getting out quickly. If you are willing to steal plutonium why not use someone else's dog? Or even better a rat or something.

Gaston de Foix
Should they be filming the unauthorized use of nuclear grade plutonium? A good lawyer would advise against it.
Gaston de Foix
Doc is going 25 years into the future from 1985. So the brave new world of 2010. Some good stuff: Obama president, phones in everyone's pocket. Pointless wars in Afghanistan/Iraq still rolling. But most importantly from Doc's perspective, it isn't the brave new world of space elevators and flying cars, basically the world of the Jetsons. Why is that? Gaston de Foix
Doc dies just before his dream is fulfilled. Sad for him but I am personally elated that I don't have to be depressed by how Spielberg imagined 2010 would look like in 1985.
Gaston de Foix
It's interesting Libyans nationalists/terrorists were seen as bad guys even before the Pan-Am bombing.
Gaston de Foix
car chase scene in the DeLorean and we are back in 1955. It's an interesting creative choice going back in time rather than into the future. And one that Spielberg repeatedly made in IJ series too. I wonder why?
