About Yea High
I'm going to jump on the Avery Clark bandwagon. I'm actually thinking silmarilli's first choice - Theon Greyjoy. If for no other reason than to make a known A Song of Ice and Fire fan grab his own sister's tits. Consider it hazing. ... Hopefully the role of Asha won't actually be played by the actor's real sister, if he has one in the biz. (Or maybe that's even better hazing)

Adelle Tully
I have to say I've seen some good choices, so I'll second some: Kirsty Alley for Lysa Arryn - that was my very first thought when I read the character's parts in the book! Katee Sackoff for Brienne - her face a the masculine quality and is handsome enough for Hollywood. Avery Clark for Theon Greyjoy - he's got the "everything is comical" look about him, it looks like he'd be good at playing someone who's "slimy yet satisfying" which is how I picture Theon. Olivia Wilde as Shae - OMG yes, I wouldn't have ordinarily looked at her for that part, but now that it's mentioned! I'd like to add Alexis Bledel for Margaery. She's too old for Sansa but appears just the right age for Margaery. Alexis. Margaery is supposed to be exceedingly beautiful and I think she fits the part.

Venardhi
Quick thought hit me watching The Daily Show this evening: Brynden "The Blackfish" Tully* anyone? *Assuming of course he can do a convincing voice that will better fit in with the setting. JeriMarie
Sean Bean for Bronn would be a great choice too. :) Zoe Bell as Brienne...thats a good suggestion! This kid Jake Richardson could maybe pull off Theon Greyjoy, although is older than the pictures on imdb. Ormond
I will also add a vote for Avery Clark as Theon, though I think he could also play Marillion or Renly. He has experience playing both roles in several Shakespeare plays, as well as Rosencrantz & Guildenstern, which should be excellent training for ASOIAF. Plus I really would like to see some actors with a lot of stage experience in the series. Maybe it's a prejudice, but I think in general stage training would be better for pulling off the sort of gravity I think ASOIAF needs. I'm afraid that actors with only television experience might be a bit too campy or modernist in their interpretations of the characters.
turinturambar
I like the BIG SHOW to play Sandor Clegane. Fate's Bitch
I remember in one of the old casting threads, Kevin Zegers was a fairly popular suggestion for Theon. Now whether he's cast or not, this picture inspired me to think about Asha. The woman in the picture is Freja Beha and in terms of looks, she fits the character description perfectly. She comes across as very Asha-ish in her attitude as well. She's even Danish so she's got a Viking thing going on already. Only thing is she's a model so who knows if she can act?
Durendale
Another Rodrick Cassel possibility: Vincent Regan http://www.imdb.com/media/rm100440320/nm0716490 (left of Butler) or John Nettles http://www.imdb.com/media/rm234920960/tt0118401 Maester luwin: David Jason http://www.imdb.com/media/rm3096222976/tt0108967 (maybe a bit too old)
Tysha
Ramsey Bolton - Hans Matheson. He gives me the creeps. Lysa - Olivia Colman. Primarily known for her comedy work but she can do it all. Margaery Tyrell - Andrea Riseborough. I've loved this girl for a long time and seeing The Devil's Whore last night just further confirmed how awesome she is. Okay, that's my last casting post! Ser Doctor
I think that kid who played Draco Malfoy from Harry Potter, would play a good Joffrey, or he would have when he was younger. (not sure how much his looks have changed). I also think the guy who played Snape would be a very good Roose Bolton. And, of course, I agree that Rowan Akinson would be the perfect Vargo Hoat. Thats all I really have to contribute. I have faith that whoever they end upo casting will be good though. Especially if they are unknown actors. It would make it fresh. JeriMarie
As for Gendry, depending on what age limit we are going for, how about Stansilav Ianevski?
