Woman of War
1.Tyrion remains alive, in power, celebrated, relatively happy, an utterly unpunished for his various acts of rape.Though I would love that, this would be my dream ending I believe that Tyrion has been taken down and thus been "punished" by Martin already quite a bit, though I do not like those morality undertones. And I hope that no leading character will get off the hook of Martin's writing without being changed, hurt and scarred inside and out, meaning: He or she has developed. I am not starting that utterly stale definition game of what is rape here but I am absolutely convinced that Martin will not make up arithmetics for his characters' fates:Good deeds / bad deeds x forum posters' opinion x GRRM's mood of the day / weather conditions = ending of a characterHe has a concept behind his story line. And when he wishes to lead a character into darker aspects of his or her mind because this is necessary to complete his or her arc - this gives us no real clue about how the character will end. This is not a book with one dimensional fairy tale morality. We are not supposed to know with evangelical certainty where good and bad are, we are invited to constantly doubt and to think about it.
Ser Gei
It would suck if in the last book some one figures out that in order to get rid of the Others for good, there is this ring that must be cast on the fires of Valyria. Then they set up a nine-man envoy out of King Tommen the Ringbearer, his faithful companion Rickon and couple of Varys's little birds, Davos the modest bad-ass would-be-king, Tyrion the dwarf, Loras the fairy, Sandor Clegane to stunt Sean Benn, and Sam with a fake beard and a pointy hat. During the trip Sam falls in to a cliff and Sandor Clegane is shot full of arrows. At some point the two little birds get caught but nobody cares. Davos, Tyrion and Loras decide to go running along the Dothraki sea anyway, and Tommen and Rickon continue alone towards the Valyria. They meet a with a lunatic freak called Theon, who begins to escort them towards Valyria, but then suddendly they all die of pale mare. Others conquer the world, no-one knows where Dany ends up, Jon stays dead, and Ramsay does not get flayed.

DorneRising
Just before the final fight involving pretty much all the major players in the book is about to happen. We get chapters shaping the fortunes and destinies of our favourite characters. After two brilliant final books, we, the readers, sense the epic finale. But then:Darkness suddenly descended upon the people of Westeros below. Dark shadows spread across the fields, the woodlands, the castles and the oceans. Then it came. Destruction rained down from above. Giant objects filled the afternoon sky and bombarded the earth with deadly efficiency."M...meteorites?!" Qyburn cackled as castles collapsed, the sea exploded upwards and death claimed the lives of almost everyone in the lands of Westeros and beyond. Almost everyone.EpilogueRobert Arryn of the Vale woke several hours later with a runny nose.END
OberynBlackfyre
worst possible ending: Daenerys becoming Queen, and the only survivor or the Others....
colakki
- Dany queen- Stannis dead- Tyrion not something important like Lord of CR- Jon Snow a Targaryen or dead- No Stark in Winterfell- Jaime Lannister dead- Arya not going on a big mission, killing someone important like Dany, AegonAnd the worst: Stannis dies a stupid death, like just being assassinated by Varys or Littlefinger or one of his men out of depression or whatever...dying against the Boltons would suck too (the silliest would be if he is killed by Patchface)
DogLover
Any of the remaining Starks dead.Boltons, Varys, Littlefinger and Walder Frey not dead.Daenerys sitting the Iron Throne. :agree: This. I think I'd prefer a Greyjoy sitting the Iron Throne over Daenerys (but only if it's Asha).
Kolantero
Dany and Jon (as a Targ) getting married, saving the world from the others with their dragons and then ruling the kingdoms in a long, prosperous and healing reign. Not for any other reason except that it would be too predictable and "happy-unrealistic-ending" (and so i doubt that Martin will go for that)
Ser Tom
Don't be the maid of tarth anymore( only counts consensual sex) Kingslayer "I spent the evening with Brienne Tarth"Random Lannister "Don't you mean The Maid of Tarth?"Kingslayer stares right out of the book. Music rises Duh Du Dun Dun.My worst possible endings would be,GRRM never finishes them, not dead or anything just cant be arsed.Brandon Sanderson finishes them, keeps GRRMs editor (lost her red pen and hasn't been able to replace it since Swords).Final chapter sets up a sequel, "The Others always did things in threes."Seriously though I'm not actually that worried about it. Wish he would wright faster but don't we all?
idler
Marriage. The worst possible ending for me is a marriage.Jon and Arya marry and live happily ever after.
Scipio Africanus
The worst possible ending for me is when Dany is crowned queen after torching the Others with her B17 Flying Fortress superweapons and a sacrifice from Jonny. And she marries someone like Willas Tyrell, but has Douchio Naharis and the biggest douche of Dorne Darkstar as her lovers, a la Catherine the Great. Danelle
Marriage. The worst possible ending for me is a marriage.Really? But why? I wouldn't mind if in the end the Westrosi married Margaery to the Others and had Walder Frey to organise the wedding reception. Best way to get rid of the Others! :cool4:
braintech6
While all of Westeros is in chaos and war with Dany's return, the Others come, sweeping through Westeros with all hell to pay, and after total annihilation of Westeros and the Others, The rulesr of Pentos comes and rule the iron throne , this is my nightmare . Oh, and of course if GRRM dies before the completion of WOW!!!

SerStinger
Jon and Arya marry and live happyli ever after.I hate that idea on many levels. I hate it because people consider marriage a good thing which makes people happy, rather than signing a contract ensuring you'll never be happy. I also hate the idea of people being happy. I also hate a girl like Arya who is better than that to marry,
King Aemon I
If it ends and we didn't see Roose Bolton on his knees, a sword through his chest and Jon or Rickon saying, "Robb Stark sends his regards" the entire ASOIAF sucks for me then...
