What is Your Most Crackpot Theory v.4

Recommended Posts

The horn of Joramun is a dragon binding horn. When sounded it wakes the Ice Dragon which is asleep/frozen in the Wall wakes up, bringing down the wall in the process.

Doesn't Maester Aemon tell Sam he should have stayed at the wall because "ice preserves". And he's a hidden Dragon at the wall himself...

1. The horn of Joramun is the same dragon binding horn that Euron found. To bond a dragon, to TRULY bind a dragon into slavery, requires a large amount of very powerful magic. Thus, its link to the wall; this magic is what holds the wall up and protects against the others. When the others become a threat and a dragon is desperately needed to fight them, a choice must be made: The ultimate weapon against them, or the ultimate defense against them.

2. Here is how the rest of the book will end. Jon snow is dead, and with him the hope of the Night's Watch and the Wildlings of having any sort of alliance or truce. They will start to fight each other in a series of very costly battles for both sides. Stannis's army will become involved, and these three armies will be decimating each other when the Others show up, summoning all of the dead from the battle to be wights and wiping out the northern line of defense.

Nothing will stand between the Others and the rest of the world, but they will take their time getting there. They know they dont need to rush. they will obliterate every town and village they encounter, and take all of the dead as wights.

As this is happening (it all takes several months, perhaps half a year) Arya is sent on an important mission; she is to kill Melisandre (who is leading the resistance in the north against the others, unbeknownst to most people). Dany finally gets her massive freaking army and takes Pentos (or maybe Braavos) with her huge army, and gains a huge fleet to carry her huge army across the sea. Tyrion Lannister comes to her, saves her life somehow, and teaches her how to truly take care of and train her dragon. He is given the Green dragon, and they make preparations to sail across the narrow sea. Remember, this is happening at the same time as the plot at the wall.

As all of that is happening, Aegon allies with Dorne by marrying Arianne, and begins to move north with an army of Dornish. Cersei and Margery are both found guilty when Robert Strong goes on a rampage and the trial by combat and neither fighter is victorious over the other, as neither survive the onslaught. Robert Strong's identity is not revealed. Tommen is assassinated by Varys, and Margery's conviction and execution turn the Tyrells agaisnt the Lannisters. They join up with Aegon.

Bran is up north doing his tree thing, and having to watch hopelessly as the north is consumed slowly by the walkers. He learns of an easier way to communicate with human beings using his gifts; he can use fire to give people glimpses of his thoughts and emotions, and can attempt to coordinate their movements against the walkers. He also manages to warg into Dany's third dragon, controlling it on his own. This does not mean, however, that it cannot have a rider; I will come back to that later.

Sansa and Littlefinger get married, and Littlefinger poisons and kills Robin to take full control of the Eeryie. When Littlefinger hears of the Others impending approach, and as winter in the Vale becomes worse than it ever has been before he realizes that the rumors are true and gathers his troops. At this time, the hill tribes reappear, but they speak of the others as well and ask that Petyr employ them against the White Walkers.

Victarion Greyjoy will become the third rider when he blows the Horn o Joramun (which, as I stated above, can bind one dragon.) In reality, the horn gives Bran the ability to fully and completely control the dragon as he will; until then the dragon has been resisting him heavily. Bran gets the dragon where it needs to be and gains his control, and Victarion gains his dragon. The wall collapses.

Rickon and Osha fall to the others. Jaime and Brienne are killed by UnCat.

And remember, all of that is happening at the same time. Winds of Winter ends with bran getting control of his dragon, Dany preparing to leave for westeros, and Arya arriving in White Harbor.

At the beginning of A Dream of Spring, the white walkers have pushed down as far as the Vale and Sansa and Baelish both fall to their army. Melisandre is now publicly the head of the largest resistance force in westeros, and she is doing a very good job of slowing down the others. She has realized that finsing Azor Azhai is not important; what is important is surviving winter and pushing back the others.

The neck would be a perfect place to hold back the others, and she builds her strategy around that idea, but she fails to account for the fact that the Others bring with them the coldest of cold and can freeze the sea to create a land bridge. She also realizes that she needs more troops if she is to ever hope of winning; at the time, she only has the remnants of the northerner's armies (When they realized that the Others were coming, they began to retreat south to regroup, and Melisandre did her thing to gain control.) and some of the Vale's troops who survived the Other's attack there. She sends ravens to all of the remaining kingdoms and asks for help.

Every lord receives the summons, and all of them ignore it. They are all fighting their own battles; some of the river lords are now having to fight he Others and in the South Aegon Targaryan is invading. Aegon recieves the summons to help fight the others, but decides to win his throne first. In King's Landing, there is complete chaos as people fight for the Iron Throne.

Dany crosses the Narrow Sea, deciding to try to come at westeros fromthe North, but finds that she cannot cross to the North because the sea has completely frozen over. She ends up landing in Dragonstone with her enormous army or Dothraki, Unsullied, Liberated Slaves, her Iron Men (who she got when Victarion became the rider of Bran's dragon- bran brought Victarion to Dany and they made an alliance of marriage, all off screen) and their fleet, and of course the three dragons and their riders. They still do not know that Bran is controlling the white dragon.

She takes control of kings landing almost as soon as her army lands there, and finally has her throne. Varys then appears, and tells her what has been going on inthe north and demands that she go help. She has him executed, but she does listen to his plea; she decides to march north and aid Melisandre. Before she can, however, Aegon attacks King's Landing.

Arya arrives in Melisandre's camp as a small faceless man, and seeks out the red witch to fulfil her duty. After days of planning, the moment finally comes, but moments before she can make the kill bran takes control of Nymeria (who is nearby- by this point they are fighting in the riverlands just south of the twins) and puts the wolf between Arya and the Red Witch. Arya is confused, and kills Nymeria out of fear, then kills Melisandre. Bran realizes that her sister is truly lost. Melisandre, the leader of the resistance, is now dead, and the resistance forces disperse and collapse.

The others, now with no resistance, flood through the riverlands. By now their army is absolutely enormous; far over 100,000 wights, not to mention the White Walkers Themselves. They arrive at Kings Landing as the Siege is in full swing, and Aegon dies. Dany takes control of his armies and let them into the city. The attack turns into a prolonged siege. Jorah is killed by the cold. Dany uses her dragons to good effect, but still her efforts are not, in the end, enough. The city falls and Dany watches everything collapse while realizing that, in the end, she is the one responsible for the destruction of humanity because she was unable to unify Westeros in time to defend against the others. She and her army make one last suicidal attack, and Bran, seeing this through the eyes of a hawk, does a bit of anchient magic and takes control of every animal he can, sending them to help the army. Together, it looks like the army of the living is winning... until their fallen friends start to return and kill their old allies. Danerys watches first Bran's controlled dragon, then Tyrion's dragon (and tyrion), and finally Drogon die. She then watches all of her friends die, and finally she is taken by the others.

Bran watches all of this, and cries.

And that is the end.

Edit: Any characters I left out are killed y the others. Martin would tie their storylines up.

Also, we never lean who Jon Snow's mother was; it doesnt matter, when the others are storming south of the wall.

Now, how's that for crackpot?

You know what would be interesting? If unlike most bittersweet fantasy endings, a big part of the bitter is the return of magic.

I could definitely see that happening. The return of the Others comes closely before the magic comes back, and we've already seen "bitter" things happen because of magic, too: for example, the resurrection of Beric and Cat (one's tired, one came back wrong)...

R'hllor is the name of the Great Dragon God. He is the All Father (like in most mythology you have the greatest of the great) of Fire breathing dragons

  • Meraxes, Vhagar, and Balerion were like Aeres, Apollo, and Hermes to his Zeus-ness. Or Thor and Baldr to his Odin-ness
  • This is why they are know as the Old Valyrian Gods
  • R'hllor the All Father was the biggest dragon ever in the history of dragons, but he died of old age
  • if you can make it into the 14 fires you might find his remains

R'hllorism started in Valyria when the Valyrians found dragons in the 14 fires (they then called themselves dragonlords from that day on). They worshiped them because they were such great any mighty beast.

  • This is why R'hllorist worship the flames, because not only did they find them in the flames, but because they could breathe flame like no other living beast could
  • They don't realise that these beast are not really gods, just really powerful magical creatures, but they profess it to be so just because they attribute their magic to being god-like powers which is why they pray to it.
  • Only the magic is real.

R'hllorism like most religions has to have an enemy of the good god.

  • So they call the "bad" god the Great Other
  • They (Red Priests and R'hllorists) Never refer to R'hllor in the books as "R'hllor the Great Dragon God" because that would give too much away in the story

Aegon Targaryen, son of Rhaegar and Elia, did not die but he was switched.

But the baby was not taken by Varys but by a faithful servant of Elia. The servant, fearing for the baby's life, fled to Essos, in Tyrosh to be more precise. She named the child Daario and he grew up to become the leader of the Stormcrows.

Basically Dany is having an affair with her nephew.

There is foreshadowing as well.

She thinks of Aegon, and says that had things been different, she would have married him.

Also Daario's eyes are so deep blue, that are almost purple.

Daario's flamboyant attitude is due to the fact that he takes after his ancestor, Aegon the Unworthy and his uncle Oberyn Martell.

He even dyes his hair blue in order to hide his silver hair.

In the following book, Daario will die and Dany will meet his "mother", in reality Elia's servant, who will reveal Daario's true identity.

A man killed Varys

Please explain.

I believe the implication is that a certain Faceless Man is standing in for the Spider.

As to crackpottery: Jon will die, and be resurrected by Mel; in the aftermath, his bond with Ghost seems to be shaky, or worse. The upshot: UnJon does not, in fact, possess the soul of Jon Snow, which will, in fact survive only in Ghost. UnJon becomes new Night's King, GhostJon may become an agent of Bran.

Melisandre will finally receive a large shipment of leeches that she ordered years ago. She'll then proceed to annihilate everyone of her opponents including the Others because she realizes George doesn't like giving rules and limits to magic so she can do what ever she wants. As long as she has enough leeches.
