Becuase by god, he's not yet prepared for open confrontation with the Lannisters. he does not yet contacted Stannis, his banner men unprepared, his own household troops insufficient, and by I'm afraid he'd died becaue of it, which did happen a few kicks later. Nasty character but I just couldn't believe he'd be so dumb2) Robb getting married. I just knew his northern alliance was going to unravel from that point. STUPID KID!!3) Oberyn getting cocky and paying for it.4) Arys Oakheart's reckless charge. I was praying she would say thats me. Then he would have been her knight in shining armor. Take her back to her family and show that at least some Frey's do have honor.
