Mladen
Now don't break my heart.I am sorry, but it;s GRRM's desire and I understand it. Why would you need prequel about somethig you know all about?
GREYJOY4LYFE
We already know everything there is to know about Robert's Rebellion. It's all there. A prequel while being interesting would add nothing.
Gurkhal
We already know everything there is to know about Robert's Rebellion. It's all there. A prequel while being interesting would add nothing.Pretty much agree.
Big Finger
I've thought of this but I doubt a book will come out, However I do think that Robert's Rebellion may be made into a feature film. It could be short enough to make into one or two films provided George doesn't actually start writing the book making it extremely long.
Blede
Nah, it's all there in the books already. What would be really cool is a book about the Bleeding Years (or Century of Blood): the attempt by Volantis to recreate the Valyrian empire by conquering all the Free Cities. It would have a World War II feel (the first easy/quick conquests, everyone allying against the aggressor, the final defeat), it would have Aegon the Conqueror (when he was not the Conqueror yet), and lots and lots of Essosi characters (and finally Essosi POVs). Because Essos deserves some love too !After ASOIAF is finished, of course.
2fingers
I want Robert, Tywin, Ned, Jon Arryn, Jaime, Arthur Dayne, and Stannis POV...how awesome would that be...to see Robert's POV when he goes one on one with Rhaegar?
Arthur Dayne's Honor
Maybe some small ones akin to Dunk and Egg Novels.Book 1- Up to the end of the Tourney of HarenhallBook 2- From the TAH to the first battle of the rebellionBook 3- up to the Sack of KLBook 4- Up to when Ne returns to Winterfell
2fingers
We already know everything there is to know about Robert's Rebellion. It's all there. A prequel while being interesting would add nothing. But we can get major perspectives of the war from Rhaegar, Robert, hell even the Mad King. I would buy that book faster than I would TWoW. Ser Stoned Heart
that would be so incredibly awesome. reading about tower of joy and the tourney at harrenhal scenes would just be something else.
Queen Alysanne™
I doubt he will, some stories are better left untold.
Queen Alysanne™
I personally would love to see a novella about, Aenys I rule up to the Alysanne and Jaehaerys era, especially to see the militant uprising.Sorry if I am going off topic.
The Broke Howard Hughes
At comic con '13 he said he'd fill in the blanks on Robert's Rebellion in the rest of the books. He also said he was unlikely to tell that particular story for that reason although he didn't rule out writing about Westeros afterwards.
bloodsteel bitterraven
In an interview recently he said that he won't because all the information we need about Robert's rebellion will be in ASOIAF.
FacelessDude
He was asked the very same question at Comic Con this year and he said he won't be doing it.The reason is because by the time the entire series is finished everything we need to know about Robert's Rebellion will have been fed to us. Howland Reed anyone?
Boarsbane Baratheon
Eh even if i know how it ends i would want to read the character POVs anyways. Im tired of "you know nothing" and "i am no one"
Alayne's Shadow.
It'd be interesting, but he already has a lot on his plate as it is.
