Personally i go with Cersei, because while Tywin is still bad, i feel he is merely ruthless because he 'has' to be and it's the only way to protect his family's legacy, not because he is a sadist. Tywin, for instance, does everything he does because he thinks he's doing it for the greater good and the survival and legacy of his House. And when thinks go out of his control, he blames others or try to make up excuses in his mind. Tyrion and Jaime at least admit they do the bad things they do. Cersei, on the other hand, does everything because she thinks she's like her father. She's not. She wants power for the sake of power, thinking cruelty is the same than being strong. Unlike Tywin, who at least as earned the respect and fear others feel about him, she has obtained the power due to her name and murder, and she's unable to hold it, like LF said. Kasporio Posted April 19, 2014 Share Posted April 19, 2014 Tywin shown a clear sadistic streak with Tysha's rape. It wasnt just to teach Tyrion a lesson, but to humiliate him. He took his revenge for a imaginary fault : Joanna's "murder". Cersei had the same motive to torture Tyrion, just makes his life as miserable as possible. But in terms of evil, Cersei's seems far worse. She's just as devoid of empathy as her father was but she has none of Tywin's pragmatism, which leads her to endorse the most disastrous decisions (turning the iron bank into a foe) or devious acts (Qyburn allowed to torture and experiment on people.) I dont know how many time is left before this post will be locked on beliebers requests because not everyone agree that Cersei's just perfect. Cersei is jus a mad woman drunk with power, she wishes to be a man, when she tasted a bit of power she got drunk of it. No wonders she got kicked from the regent position, even her family is seeing how insane she is becoming, she could have made Joffrey to be a better person, but all she thought was how perfect he was in her eyes. IMO she's clearly uninteliigent and lazy, she reproached her father didnt allowed her to be taught in political matters, but she had 15 years of marriage as queen to learn something about politic, whichc she never did. Tywin has caused a lot of death and suffering, but he also gave the realm many years of peace and prosperity as Aerys' Hand, and pardoned many and more lords during TWot5K.
