Going Down in History

How do you think current characters will go down in Westerosi history. We all know of the Mad King, Baelor the Blessed, and the Whore of Dragonstone. But what about those still living? A hundred years from now, what will they be saying about our beloved characters?

Ideas (my own speculation may seep into these lol):

Catelyn Stark will be remembered as an honorable woman, a fierce mother and intelligent politician, betrayed by a greedy old man, and butchered as a guest at her brothers wedding, along with her son. Her resurrection will be thought of as fable, a fairy tale mothers tell their children to get them to behave ("dont go into the woods, or Lady Stoneheart will come for you")

Joffrey Baratheon will be remembered as a vicious child, a blood thirsty bastard spoiled by his mother and feared by his court. An arrogant idiot, being compared to King Joffrey is a grave insult.

Cersei Lannister will be one of the most reviled people in Westerosi history. A scheming bitch, the Queen's lust for the Kingslayer sent Westeros spiraling into war. Failing as a politician and a mother, her Walk of Shame will be remembered, as a warning tale to nobles and a riotous laugh to commoners. Her absolute destruction of King's Landing and the Red Keep by wildfire will earn her many nicknames, namely the Mad Queen. There will be stories of her ghost haunting the remains of the Red Keep

Jon Snow will not be remembered. The champion of the Long Night's name has long been forgotten. All that is known is that he was a Lord Commander of the Night's Watch who was betrayed, but rescued by a Red Woman, and took up arms against the Others.

Ned Stark will forever be revered, as noble and honest man. Though sometimes call foolish, no one will ever doubt his goodness. He will be remembered for being outfoxed by Queen Cersei, and beheaded by her evil bastard for challenging their succession.

Ok, I've talked enough. If George were to write an ASOIAF book say 150 years after ADOS, what would be said about our current characters.

Jon will be remembered for the NW commander who became rebel leader KITN and conquered the IT, and then knelt to it.

Dany will be remembered as the mother of dragons, and probably slavery abolisher.

Tyrion will be remembered as a king who was a dwarf, the dwarf king.

Jaime will be remembered as a legendary knight and hand, kinslayer, kingslayer and deicide maker.

Brienne will be remembered as the legendary first female knight.

Well I think dsug is spot on about Cersei.  History would have to mention LF and maybe Varys for their roles in court and council and their grand schemes if they are discovered.   The Westerosi like their songs and I'm sure the Tyrells already have singers in their employ writing about their greatness.  I think Jon and Dany might both be remembered and Sansa if her power grows great and she does something with it.   Maybe Rickon as a footnote.   Stannis I'm sure.  Jamie, definitely.   Theon possibly depending on what happens on the II.  All the heads of the kingdoms and realm get mentioned.   I would hope the Freys and the Red Wedding are remembered along with the very pointed lessons about arming the Faith.  Then again perhaps entirely new history will be written by better informed Maesters who will offer more complete tellings and less slanted opinions.

Arya will become a "no one knows what happened to her"

Jon and bran's feats will be combined into one mystical fairy tale hero demigod who changes the nature of the world whose name is lost.

jamie as everything bad.

Brienne as foolish and good

Dany will become the Tragic villain killed by jon/bran hero.

Lady Stoneheart will go down as a scary urban legend as you said to scare children. The funny part she really does snatch up kids...for the orphanage! That last detail will surely be forgotten.

Robb and Jeyne probably have the singers working overtime.

Cersei, let me just say it is going to be glorious when a maester jots down that history.

There will be many stories about Brienne the Beauty, the first female knight in Westeros. Storytellers will reimagine her as a beautiful, stunning maiden, to reinforce the idea that only pretty women can accomplish anything.

Robert will be remembered as the start of what could have been a long and prosperous dynasty for Westeros, until his descendants lost it all. Kind of like Alexander the Great. Nobody is going to remember the debt in the long run, even if it does have a huge impact on what happens to Westeros.

Since Joffrey's death was kind of the point when absolutely everything went the war went completely to shit (ironborn, white walkers, Dorne enters the War, Aegon and Dany arrive with armies and dragons), he'll just be remembered as a chance for continued stability that was squandered due to assasination by greedy people, and his own young age. I think that people will remember him with sympathy.

Robb Stark will be remembered as a folk hero in the North, and a rebellious trouble-causer in the south.

Since I don't know what is going to happen next in the series I'll only predict based off of what they've done thus far and assume nothing of note comes about to change public opinion.

Bran will be remembered only as a victim when treacherous Theon storms Winterfell and murders the two young Starks.  Same with Rickon

Arya's only mention would be as having gone missing and never found.

Sansa would be accused of being an accomplice to King Joffrey's murder, but she had fled and was never caught.

Robb would be an honorable King who was betrayed by those closest to him (at least in the North).  In the South he would be remembered as a treasonous lord, who was as wild and ruthless as his monstrous pet wolf.

Jon would be remembered as a traitor to the Night's Watch who managed to reach the rank of Lord Commander through manipulation in order to let the enemy, the Wildlings, through the gates.  The manner of his death will likely be debated, in some versions he is killed by a small group of honorable member's of the Night's Watch for breaking his vows in others he was slain by the wildlings after everything he had done for them.

Catelyn will be blamed for betraying Robb by freeing the Kingslayer, Jaime Lannister.

Ned will be seen as a power hungry traitor to the throne, and was duly executed, at least in the South.  In the north he will be remembered as a man too honorable for his own good.

Jaime Lannister will forever be known as the Kingslayer.  Nothing else will be remembered though his incestuous relationship with Cersei will likely be guessed at.

Cersei will probably only be noted as a bad influence to the men around her.  Blamed for Robert's descent after becoming king, for Joffrey's cruelty, and as Jaime's potential lover.

Tyrion will be known as a Kingslayer and a Kinslayer who killed his young nephew, King Joffrey, as well as slaying his father Tywin.  Definitely makes the list as one of the most evil men in history.

Daenerys would be known as the Mother of Dragons and the Breaker of Chains whose beauty surpassed all.  History would likely present her as a larger than life figure who was ultimately too good for the world around her, and so she disappeared on the back of her dragon to await the day when humanity no longer subjugates the less fortunate.  Tales of her would be treated more like myths than actual historical events.

Yeah, I'm thinking, after KL gets a taste of winter, and of  blood and fire,

Joffrey will be remembered as the beautiful boy king that defended KL with his crossbow and protected everyone from the Targaryens.

Cersei - like Lady Godiva, no-one will remember exactly why she walked naked from Baelors Sept to the Red Keep, and they'll make up some story about how she did it to somehow convince her evil dwarf-deamon brother who oppressed the town with taxation, to look to the Gods, and give everyone tax breaks.

Robb will be forever young, forever bold, forever loved, now he is dead. He will be loved in the Riverlands and even around the Crag - anywhere where he fought a battle, and of course, live in the heart of every true north man.

Jon might be remembered by the Wildlings - they seem to have a strong oral tradition, lots of tales and songs. The crow that let them in, who broke his vows to steal a spearwife, who was the son of a Stark...of course, if they remember him south of the wall at all, he will be remembered as the traitors bastard.

Dany will be remembered as the bane of Kings Landing, or as the Conqueror Queen (by her own people). Even if she does her very best to take the throne bloodlessly, there's a vicious cold winter coming, and a huge cache of wildfire that will get even more volatile when her dragons touch down. She will be like Helen of Troy or Hatshetsup - the people who survive her will write an unpleasant history of the Harpy-Whore of Ghis, and the brave men who slew her dragons (in their advanced old age) will be sainted.

Everyone is going to remember how much better life was before, when King Robert and King Joffrey were on the throne, in the ten-year summer. And the records of the city will be torched, so the world will take their characters from some half-remembered local legends.

Spoiler

and  the plays of Phario Forel,

ETA: Jaime will be remembered like Napoleon is remembered. And probably credited with stuff like Tyrion's chain, as well as his own outstanding genius as a commander in the art of war.

It greatly greatly depends on the outcome of the remaining two books. There are many examples of monsters being portrayed positively or competent rulers being covered as terrible; all depending on whether they won (and had the history written down) or lost (in which case their enemies had the history written down).

If you want an example from recent ASOIAF history, just take a look at World of Ice and Fire, where maester Yandel shifts several small details into Tywin's (and to a lesser degree Robert's) favour.
