  1. Pistons thankfully adding a nice 3pt shooter in Duncan Robinson s&trade. This makes the Beasley loss a lot more pallitable imo.
  2. The Mexican drug cartels are still as bloody as ever- NPR headline: The Americas "Cartel violence in Sinaloa, Mexico, leaves 20 dead, including 4 decapitated bodies."
  3. Piston fans are reeling over where to replace his 3pt shooting and spacing it provided for Cade. Theyve only been able to bring in Levert so far, Ivey better really make a lot of post injury progress next season or things will be tough for us.
  4. Interesting opinion piece in USA Today- Anything mentioning Trump in a classroom, is now fair game to be shielded from your childrens exposure. I think thats a great protection. https://www.yahoo.com/news/thanks-supreme-court-now-prevent-090543151.html Reminds me of the Utah parents who instantly fought back against Republican book ban rules to have the Bible included as an offending source.
  5. Powell: "Expect meaningful tarrif effects in July, August and September."
  6. I prefer V8, my XLT F150 5.0L has the Coyote engine. 187,000 miles of exceptional reliability so far. Still runs silent, with the hood down you cannot hear the vehicle at all. I cannot tolerate sitting in anything other than a Supercab, its just too much of an exercise in clausterphobia for me. Fuel mileage is not a selling point for me with vehicles. I believe the old Ford gets about 19mpg, full tank I can travel nearly 700 miles which is nice. Its great in the occasional winter blizzards we get up here. I have to commute occasionally before the plows have hit the winter roads, so smaller vehicles are a little too unwieldy to be out in for me. Have had Cutlass, Jeep(s), Chevy Van, S-10, Fiesta, Capri, Jimmy truck, GMC Jimmy, none of these have even been remotely close in satisfaction to the F-150 so it'll be difficult to see myself replacing the old Ford with anything other than a newer F-150, but you never say never if the right deal presents itself.
  7. Pacers had 16 steals, thats some wonderful effort to stave off elimination. Game 7, which team wants this the most?
  8. I keep having those "Mission Accomplished" memories. Iran is not concerned with the tidey-ness of a bow wrapped, quick news cycle resolution to its resistance. Israel may have achieved air superiority and great sucess with U.S. assisted missile defense, but its foolish to think Iran will just capitulate. There is the potential for some pretty horrific retaliation that may materialize not only in Israel but perhaps terror attacks brought to our doorsteps. And such response will likely be in their own timetable. A little too early for rounds of back slapping imo.
  9. Gotta agree with earlier post over not having a Sunday game. Lot of working stiffs like myself who will now be unable to watch the Monday game. Sucks, couldve caught a Sunday game, thanx NBA.
  10. Tigers getting the most out of that $143 million payroll, not even half of the coastal teams. We could afford to give Skubal a $50 million a season raise, and still be below the top 10 payrolls. They built a winner, now they need to spend some Little Caesar's money and keep this thing riding.
  11. Caruso isnt a big headline grabber, but man he is an extremely valuable piece, guy delivers winning basketball minutes on both sides of the ball. Still pulling for the Pacers though
  12. A.I. sez- +3 Yes, there will be a second season of Taboo. It has been officially renewed by BBC One and FX, with Tom Hardy returning as James Delaney. The show is currently in development, with six of the eight episodes already written. The new season will likely see Delaney heading to America and exploring themes of history repeating itself.
  13. Ive been waiting since pre pandemic for the next season of that. Really enjoyed the initial season.
  14. Watched the Brutalist for which Brody won an Best Actor Oscar. Guy Pearce has a major Supporting Actor role as well. Its over 3hrs run time Very dark, depressing story. The acting is outstanding, but no fairy tale ending for this, if one is in the mood for some cheerful type viewing, this wouldnt be it.
  15. I think they have a couple more coming by the end of this thing. Lot of people been sleeping on these Pacers.
  16. Bloomberg is reporting that the automaker Renault is in talks with the French government regarding producing Drones in Ukraine. That sounds like an exciting potential for contributing to the Defense of Ukraine.
  17. I got nothing. How can we possibly top just sitting back and watching the 2 greatest clowns in history take turns back-stabbing one another? This is the greatest in the history of ever. Here we are now ENTERTAIN US!
