More Hope for House Frey
The Lord of the Crossing replied to James Fenimore Cooper XXII's topic in General (ASoIaF)
The pardon before the help. Receive the pardon first. Walder has learned from Robb's treachery. -
Hope for the Frey family
The Lord of the Crossing replied to James Fenimore Cooper XXII's topic in General (ASoIaF)
I wish for the Frey family to receive a full pardon but that is not going to take place now because George set them to receive punishment. The best hope is indeed a restoration of House Targaryen under Dany. She will at least listen to all the facts of what took place between the families and pass a balanced decision. No such balance is possible if a Stark gets enough power to harm the Freys. Arya and Jon are merciless animals. -
What actually started the original Long Night?
The Lord of the Crossing replied to Ring3r's topic in General (ASoIaF)
The blood betrayal allegedly caused the long night. But that happened in Essos. Betrayal and treason are bad in general and considered negative within the framework of the overall story. It is likely similar to the explanation that Adam and Eve eating the apple was the cause of the expulsion from the garden. It is an interesting tale but the story in Westeros is only a parallel. Look to Bran's dreams. His ancestors were worshiping trees and making human sacrifices to the gods. Which in reality were Greenseers tricking gullible humans to give them blood meals. Euron is Black Harren. He serves the same role as he did in his past life. I have no doubts at all that he will conquer the Reach, Westerlands, and Riverlands. Daenerys is Aegon returned. She will do to Euron what Aegon did to Black Harren. Roast him with dragon fire. Jon Snow is the Nights' King returned again. Arya will be his corpse bride. Bran and the Otherswill supply the magic they need to return Jon back to life and rule the wall as the NK. -
Baratheon and Stark are families to avoid
The Lord of the Crossing replied to Bowen 747's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Aerys left behind a large surplus of gold. Robert and Jon badly managed the realm and left behind a heavy debt. Baratheon, Stark, and Arryn are bad for Westeros. -
Wake the Dragon II (Birth of Dragons)
The Lord of the Crossing replied to Sydney Mae's topic in General (ASoIaF)
The tale is strongly connected to the prophecy of Azor Ahai and waking the dragons from stones. -
Daenerys’ possible attack on Volantis
The Lord of the Crossing replied to Foreknown's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Vic has ships and he's already in the area of Meereen. His ships are closer and it looks like he is not going to live much longer. Volantis will collapse from within. -
Wake The Dragon I (Azor Ahai)
The Lord of the Crossing replied to Sydney Mae's topic in General (ASoIaF)
The Gods are putting on a play. The cast over the thousands of years remain the same but they do not get the same roles each time. The soul is not reincarnated into the same body every time. Azor Ahai was reincarnated into male bodies in the past but this is the first time Azor Ahai is reincarnated into a female. And this female has dragons, brains, beauty, and every trait necessary to win against the dark ice. The Ghosts in the dream are not one family. How can you get different eye colors in one family. Azor Ahai is not reincarnated into the same family. Daenerys is Azor Ahai but not because she is Targaryen. She is Azor Ahai because the Gods chose her. She is the most capable to lead the Light and Fire against the Dark and Ice. The story of the Amethyst Empress and her younger brother is none other than Cersei and Jaime. Brienne is a tiger in fighting skills and personality. Jaime takes Cersei's life, per the Valonquar prophecy, and marries Brienne. They will fail to keep Westeros strong and the Wolf of Night, Bran, will send the wights to attack the kingdom. All these troubles befell on the kingdom because the Maiden Made of Light, Daenerys, has disappeared. Jaime and Bran will continue the Lannister-Stark feud. The war will be bloodier than the last Lannister-Stark contest because Bran has more weapons. The land will suffer and the people will bleed. -
There exists a pecking order where the Targaryens stand at the top. They are the rightful rulers of the West. The Starks seem to have blood kinship with the Others. I could believe the Starks are the rightful rulers of the dark hell in the very north past the Wall.

The beginning and the end of the Darkness
The Lord of the Crossing replied to Kierria's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Bran and Jon will be the traitors to mankind who will send the Wights to attack Westeros. Revenge is the usual motive behind what the Starks do. Jon is already asking Arya to avenge his death. "Stick em with the pointy end". More than likely she will die before reaching the Wall and Jon will rage and open the passage for the Wights. -
Westeros is very weak. I do not see any of the great houses presenting Dany with strong resistance. The Lannisters will fight but we will see a repeat of the field of fire. Casterly Rock will burn and the Lannisters will cook. Westeros has no army that can stop the combined power of the khalasars, Unsullied, and three dragons. Dany has more power than Aegon had during the conquest.

The Night's King had children with the Night's Queen. The Starks came from their babies. Jon, Arya, Bran, etc carry the DNA of the NK and the NQ. Bran will ask the people of the north to offer human sacrifice to him. Most will refuse and that will create a rift in the north. Those who will side with evil will give the sacrifice.

The beginning and the end of the Darkness

Bran will turn evil and he will have an army of wights serving him. Only dragonfire can defeat them. -
The beginning and the end of the Darkness
The Lord of the Crossing replied to Kierria's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Bran has begun liking the darkness. His soul will get darker after he sees Jon's death. Arya too is all darkness inside. I say burn them with dragonfire. -
The elephant in the room
The Lord of the Crossing replied to astarkchoice's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Cyvasse is a literary vehicle to show which of the schemers and players are good at it. Arrianne is an awful player and certain to muck up her father's plans. She will drag Aegon into her schemes and get the both of them killed. I would love to see Dany play the game. I think Dany will be great at cyvasse. -
Robert was an incompetent who bankrupted Westeros. And that after Aerys left a full treasury. The Starks rebelled twice. The Starks are mostly responsible for the current ills in Westeros. Arya murdering the body guard in Braavos might end the negotiations and that will be bad for Westeros. Jon betrayed the watch and that will mean it is weaker and cannot defend.
-
Arya's mental sickness will only get worse because George Martin intended her one of the five (Daenerys, Jon, Tyrion, Arya, and Bran) to live through the story to the end. The savagery coming from the direwolf is like the spirit and personality of the skin masks affecting Arya. It is not good.

Lord Walder is just another feudal lord who was forced into a bad situation by the Starks and the Tullys. He did what needed to get done to keep his family safe and satisfy honor after the Starks broke their oath to marry one of his daughters. Cast the blame on Robb Stark for being the bonehead that he was.
-
The insanity of the Tully sisters is worthy of discussion because of Arya's own declining mental health.

Sam's horn could be the real one. He gives it a big blow and Oldtown comes crashing down. It's too far to bring down the wall but the nearest tall structure is in Oldtown. There was a Southron conspiracy and I don't think Mance Rayder was involved. Ricard, Robert, and Jon Arryn were plotting to usurp the throne.

Hope for the Frey family
The Lord of the Crossing replied to James Fenimore Cooper XXII's topic in General (ASoIaF)
A just and practical ruler would allow the Freys to keep all of their holdings. The Twins, the bridge, and the land. The Freys are good stewards of the land and knew how to make it produce income. The red wedding happened because the Starks broke their oath to Walder. Oathbreaking is a sin in Westeros. -
The Fallen Commander
The Lord of the Crossing replied to The Gizzard of Oz's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Jon declared war on House Bolton when he sent Mance Rayder to rescue Arya. It was all Jon's fault because he could not keep his nose out of Ramsay's affairs. -
Dany will follow her destiny because she is Azor Ahai. It will be difficult at first because she will have to leave a lot of reforms before they are finished in Slaver's Bay. She will come to Westeros, clean up the problems made by Robert, Jaime, the Greyjoys, and the Starks. A Westeros united under her banner will make it through the Long Night.

Hope for the Frey family
The Lord of the Crossing replied to James Fenimore Cooper XXII's topic in General (ASoIaF)
Walder Frey honored his deal with Robb Stark. Robb did not. Robb was not even going to beg forgiveness until he needed the Freys. Robb received what he deserved.
