  1. I misread the tweet initially...I need to finish what I'm doing tonight and get to a television!
  2. Apparently it's convoluted l, to a degree. I can't claim to understand all of it. I know AB InBev is who is responsible for distribution in the US. Apparently, though, the actual company that owns the production rights for the US Market, Constellation Brands, has been shipping overseas on their own...
  3. Trying hard to establish the Prime timeline or trying hard to ensure the repudiation of the Kelvin timeline...you be the judge! (I am in for Camp Repudiation.)
  4. Does the sky ever NOT fall in your world? Because I don't think I can recall a single positive thing said about anything in the MCU, or just about anything else. Isn't the air thin at all atop that, apparently, high high horse?
  5. Talk about a charisma black hole. I have no idea if that's going to be good, but I am more than willing to give it a shot because it look like it's going to be all kinds of fun. A lot of fun.
  6. Pretty sure no. I don't know if it's all that important beyond Sam seemed happily married...at least until the whole killer alien stuff...
  7. No. I don't believe so. Only...and only if...at some point where Sam Kirk leaves Starfleet to live his life on the planet where he's meant to die...which would be ironic if La'an makes that statement to Sam in that manner. Honestly, Sam Kirk's character feels like it's meant to be there for the comedic relief at times.
  8. Probably by design. I didn't exactly get "asshole" vibes from him...but the character we see on screen in this episode felt more in line with what Shatner did with the character, yet had something else to it too...
  9. Absolutely a classic set up and executed Trek episode. New ground broken? Technically no, but still a couple momentous bits of Star Trek in that... Very solid.
  10. Man...it only takes a Twitter debate trending on Rise of Skywalker's rank as worst SW movie to make a person appreciate the downright civility of the debate here...
  11. Solid all around. Olivia Coleman is just so much fun...you kinda have to assume she'll be revealed to be a bad guy for the future by the end, right?
  12. Huh. Sounds like the point the movie is supposedly making, based on a review or two I've read... But it is an interesting thing...it's a movie about Barbie, but I kinda want to see this as much as I want to see Oppenheimer...
  13. Will be interesting if there are any other target letter revelations today...though Rudy says he didn't get one...
  14. Seeing as it would seem none of the Republicans in Congress can bring themselves to get off the Trump bandwagon, even now, says that none of the alternate Presidential hopefuls will either...barring the couple already mentioned.
  15. Apparently Jack Smith has gotten Donald Trump another target letter for my birthday! Wheeee!
  16. I can't, won't, dismiss the nature of the little Gestapo force DeSantis seems to be putting together...but at the same time, what are they really going to be capable of doing? I mean, same as any other far right militia, what are they going to do if they try to rise against the regular Army? This little Gestapo not withstanding, DeSantis doesn't have the shops to get the Proud Boys and their ilk, to follow him... Unless you think he will simply try to make Floroda his own country?
  17. Necause most, if not all, anti-Trump conservatives wanted everything he allowed for, except they never wanted to say any of it out loud. They prefer the appearance of wanting government to work. Of course, that facade has been crumbling since 08, and Trump simply accelerated the process allowing for people to see what was happening and resist it... DeSantis, as he gets more and more National ink really does look petty and incompetent for the National stage, which is just as scary.
  18. This one, and the rest of the series, kept popping up into my Facebook feed as a recommendation/ad. It seemed mildly intriguing, but I was having trouble trying to distinguish if this as a series that was legitimate...maybe I'll look into it now... *** Copies of Victor Milan's Dinosaur books were only a quarter at the library book sale...was it worth the pick up...?
  19. Just saw an interesting, to me anyway, thought on Twitter (I know, I know...but it is a valid thought...): If Trump somehow doesn't win the Republican nomination, what happens when he doesn't concede he has lost? Would he? He needs to win, but he doesn't seem the sort to lose what he believes is his (Jan. 6), and simply run as a third party candidate...
  20. As Hollywood and the writers and actors have shown us already, many times over, if we have the will to listen and stop the rise of the AI...
  21. They're really not. Especially the two JJ sequels. TLJ had some ideas, but suffered in execution and especially pacing. There is zero rewatchability in those movies...Rey and Rose are good characters, but used poorly. Finn could have been more, but isn't given much to do. Poe shouldn't have survived past the opening of TFA. And Kylo Ren as a villain is just lacking. The prequels aren't good movies...but I'd still rather sit through watching JarJar than Poe.
  22. I prefer watching TFA when it was called A New Hope myself...
