  1. Oh I do too. I don't even own an e-reader, and have no desire to. My library is probably at least 70% MMPBs though.
  2. I can't agree with the sentiment enough...I love MMPB books and wish they were still a thing. Oh the bigger, brick-like trades that are more common now are okay, but there is something about the days of picking up a MMPB for 6.99 back in the day and being able to just use a pocket to transport it...
  3. Ezra's lack of desire to reclaim his lightsaber during the skirmish may also play into his connection, or lack there of, to the witches? Maybe he's one with the dark side now and...
  4. Okay. I chuckled some, laughed in a couple spots...but this won't go down as one of my favorite episodes...it was a classic episode format (that may have been part of the joke...?), and T'Lyn is pretty great, but this wasn't a "classic"...
  5. Daaammmnnnn... California, Florida, Kentucky, really almost all of them just pulling no punches...
  6. Okay, I know this wasn't intentional, but now I want to know what the Hellfire Club would be like in the Star Wars Universe...
  7. Oh nerdist wonders too...Oh Nerdist... your theories are always so click baity... And based on what little we know, for what Baylon wants, he should be seeking out Luke Skywalker, not selling his laser sword to the highest bidder...
  8. There was nothing especially wrong with the latest episode...except it felt a little like an episode that was split up to stretch the story...a little... And the whole Hera subplot, and the Senator coming to her aid, via an emissary for a little fan service/conective tissue to the OT, is feeling a whole lot like Filoni setting up some groundwork to clean up some of the ST mess...
  9. Should have pumped that one extra dollar to grab Kelce then. I mean, he's powered by Swifties now...
  10. Well, had to let you have at least one week to feel good about your team after the last couple of weeks...
  11. It is also almost a perfect holiday movie to share with the family, young and old alike, come December...
  12. I'm still working through Book 2... just not as much reading time as I'd like... but while I do think it's been a vast improvement, I'm struggling with the story of Huma, as presented here, as I re-read Richard Knaak's Huma story and its follow up earlier this year, so that's still fresher in my mind. And yeah, I know...Graygem...
  13. Wasn't this also a factor in dropping the bomb? Or am I reading the wrong history?
  14. I didn't say it was a good theory...this is the internet after all...
  15. So which Shin Hatti theory are we leaning towards, peeps? That she somehow goes on and becomes Captain Phasma? Or that she'll be redeemed and become Sabine's love interest? I've seen both doing the rounds on the interwebs lately...
  16. Holy shit! I didn't realize there was an autocorrect! Haha! Orions. I meant Orions.
  17. I'm suggesting using the setting there and going the next step...Kay has jumped around timestamps before, but the setting of LLotS is ripe to take the next step...and it could also help expand on his France analog, which hasn't been a significant player yet, though AtSotW certainly added some tidbits...
  18. Doesn't All the Seas of the World kinda show some of what that would look like...? Even in small scale?
  19. Personally I'd like to see him write something within his England/France setting again...tackle the story of Rollo and Normandy or possibly the Norman Conquest...
  20. QED. But at the same time, I'd you're going to play within the confines of the existing canon, it's time to get Sebastian Stan playing Luke post ROJ...for anything set in the timeframe Filoni is using right now...
  21. Please...every time they've set a movie up with new characters, they've been reviled...at least for the sequel trilogy... I think it is time to go with a recast/modern casting for Luke, Leia, et al...people will accept it...maybe... Would too much time between now and the eventual movie be a detriment...? And by going full steam ahead with Thrawn as a big bad, it's almost as though the plan isn't to so much de-canonize the Sequels, so much as ignore they exist for the most part...?
  22. Who doesn't love Ewoks crossed with Jawas crossed with turtles...?
  23. I've often wondered what Data would like like if he had blue skin and wore white...
  24. Soooooo...I finally read the first book. I'm about to embark on the second. I did not hate/dislike/lament the first nearly as much as the rest of you. I'm not a reviewer like many of you, so I'm probably not nearly as critical overall, but I see much of what was criticized and I'm not sure it bothered me as much as many others...though I do not find myself liking Destina overly much. Even if I see her dilemma and can sympathize, knowing her actions are predicated on her circumstances, she simply isn't written as likeable. I mean, Weis and Hickman go out of their way in the early going to show that she has zero interest or desire to know about the world around her, and how the events of Chronicles and Legends impacted her life and times. Just a little bit of knowledge may have given her character a little more empathy and allowed the reader to understand what is, seemingly, an ever increasing case of hysterics... The rest of the cast...the old time characters, they all felt lived in and familiar for the most part...even if Tas was a Ober the top...even for him. Overall, I was satisfied and I'm looking forward to the second one...which I go to start now...
