Wyman Manderly's Meat Pies
He'll be playing an original character called Malko. I can see this as being a combination of nameless characters like Ros or a cover for Moqorro so they don't spoil the fact that Victarion is in. ADB
He'll be playing an original character called Malko. To be accurate, that's a rumor that Hollywood Reporter is running with; all that's known for sure is that he's taken a role. I have this image in my head of HR getting a report from somebody who couldn't pronounce "Moqorro", then saying to themselves "Malko? Nobody of that name in the books..." Ser Frasier of House Crane
If he is indeed Moqorro, that's a badass casting choice. Adewale is a fine actor and will do very well here.
ctid1977
If he is Moqorro it's perfect. He is an excellent actor and has some serious physical presence.

The Green Griffin
I think it's very likely he will be Moqorro. He could be the Captain of the Cinnamon Wind, but it seems like too small a role. They've already made a few name changes like Vargo Hoat becoming Locke and Asha becoming Yara. And his acting ability and notoriety suggest that he won't just be some other random bit part such as a ship captain Arya meets in Braavos. There's too many characters in the books for me to believe they thought they needed to invent a new one. Other characters such as Mago, Duck, Haldon, Brown Ben Plumm, Marwyn, or Alleras make less sense, though I wouldn't rule anything out. That said, I don't think that means anything for Victarion, unfortunately. They could easily still write him out. They could merge his and Euron's storylines. However I did notice in season 1, Tyrion made a reference to Theon's uncles burning the Lannister fleet. I may have misheard, but I believe he used the plural, meaning he'd have to have at least 2. Euron is pretty much a sure thing. That could mean Victarion, Damphair, The Reader, other, a combination of them... Or maybe Dan and DB didn't realize at the time that they'd be writing them out. They may have used the plural for the Greyjoy uncles so that there could be a call back if they needed , but given the seven season idea, the Greyjoy uncles seem less and less likely as time goes on... Good Guy Garlan
He was my fan casting for Thoros for the longest time, eventhough he fits Moqorro's description to a T. I mistrust D&D so much now that it honestly wouldn't surprise me if he was just playing a random pit fighter or some shit. It wouldn't be the first time those 2 waste the talents of a big name (remember Burn Gorman?)
Fiery Heart
I can't see why they'd cast Moqorro... esp. since it's fairly clear Victarion's character and story is cut (as well as Euron's).

They could have him encounter Euron (if he's cast), or they could just have him as part of Tyrion's storyline.

Lady Starks Revenge
With news from Watcheronthewall.com about the Greyjoy plotline, I am not so sure he is Moqorro with just a different name. :/
ctid1977
You can still have Moqorro without Victarion. They could merge him with Benerro and he could still travel with Tyrion. He couls also be something totally different.
boojam
Well at least one Greyjoy will be in season 5. In an interview for a film , he is in, Alfie Allen let's on that he has already spent a week filming for season 5. So I figure the 'Reek' story will play out as per book, tho , of course, we don't know where that story goes. Disappointed no one seems to have gotten anything from Gemma Whelan when she was in Germany for Ringcon. (Alfie was actually there too.) I am gonna guess she is indeed in season 5 with Asha's role from the books. Well the story with Stannis at least.

He's not such a big name that the role would be too minor for him. It's not like they hired Robert Downey Jr. or Christopher Lee to be in three episodes.
