Mladen
Due to the writers' and actors' strikes last few months, Primetime Emmy Awards have been rescheduled for January, 15th. This means that all the big TV awards will be given this winter -Emmys, Globes, Actors (SAG Awards) and CCA TV awards. While the usual winter slate has its own timeline, it is worth mentioning that for the ceremony that is due in January, Emmy eligibility period was between June 1st, 2022 and May 31st, 2023. A lot of great TV... Let's hope all these award-giving bodies do the good work this winter. *** AWARD SHOWS GOLDEN GLOBE WINNERS SCREEN ACTORS GUILD AWARDS - NOMINEES DGA NOMINEES PGA NOMINEES CRITICS CHOICE AWARD (CCA) WINNERS EMMY WINNERS AACTA International Awards WINNERS DGA WINNERS WGA NOMINEES GUILDS WINNERS SAG WINNERS SPIRIT WINNERS PGA WINNERS ACE, GMS, ASC WINNERS WGA WINNERS Edited April 15 by Mladen Annara Snow

Annara Snow
Everyone pretending that The Bear is a comedy is always funny, but I see the Globes, like Emmys, are also pretending that Brian Cox was a lead actor in season 4 of Succession. The Anti-Targ
The Last of Us nominated for 3 GGs Best Performance by a Female Actor in a Television Series – Drama (Bella Ramey) Best Performance by a Male Actor in a Television Series – Drama (Pedro Pascal) Best Television Series – Drama (The Last of Us) IMO there's no shot at winning any of them, tough to get the win in the drama category for zombie apocalypse shows I imagine. But really happy to see the nominations.

Annara Snow
The Satellite Awards seem determined to prove they're deeply unserious. Snubbing Kieran Culkin for Best Actor but nominating Brian Cox - who was in 2 and a half out of 10 episodes. Snubbing Matthew McFadyen and nominating James Cromwell - who was in a few scenes in 1 episode as a guest actor, which is what he was on Succession. There's a high chance the voters did not actually watch season 4. Although Satellite Awards generally seem to love category fraud, since Jeremy Strong won the 2019 Award for Best supporting actor for Succession LOL I get that he wasn't that famous then, but no other award ever tried to pretend he was a supporting actor in that show! Annara Snow
Creative Arts Emmys Awards: https://www.indiewire.com/awards/results/2023-creative-arts-emmy-award-winners-full-list-1234939915/ (One of the dumbest expressions BTW. I've been wondering for years why they call it like that. Are writing, directing and acting in regular roles not creative arts?!_ Not that The Last of Us doesn't deserve to win the technical categories, and Nick Offerman certainly deserves the Emmy (once Andy Serkis was snubbed) and Storm Reid was also good although I'd prefer Harriet Walter... but the fact TLOU swept its categories while Succession somehow lost best score to The White Lotus (which is mind-boggling), makes me concerned that the main categories may not go as predicted. Anyway, to paraphrase that Twititer meme, Nicholas Britell's score for the final season of Succession vs the score for The White Lotus season 2? Really 'hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby' but the coughing baby won because Emmys can often be like that.

So many crazy snubs and weird choices. But nothing is as bizarre as nominating Brian Cox, who was on screen for maybe 15 minutes in the final season of Succession, and snubbing Jeremy Strong, the actual lead actor who gave incredible performances in every season, including this final ome. Just his scenes in the series finale are enough for an award, let alone a nomination. And SAGs can't even use the "he's won before" excuse (which many were using for why Kieran Culkin should now win all the awards this season - which is OK, Kieran was also amazing and also one of the leads - but the "he's won before" card was overplayed) - because he never won the SAG for individual performance, only for ensemble! This is one of the most bizarre award nomination choices I've ever seen. At this point I'm really starting to think this is spite and/or some kind of weird BTS campaig.
