Sansa is the worst person in Westeros

Sansa is actually the Great Other in disguise. That's why we still have no idea how she thinks after four books and numerous povs.

Sansa was also responsible for the fall of Valyria. I have no idea how she managed it, but I'm Varys will know. He always knows. If not then perhaps I'll ask Catelyn for pointers on deductive reasoning. Oh, wait...

  • 3 weeks later...

Sansa hen-pecked her husband into killing King Duncan of Scotland, and then went mad and killed herself.

...no wait, that's Lady Macbeth... erm...

Sansa plots with the brother of her husband, the King of Denmark, to kill said king so she can marry said brother, when in actuallity, according to the laws of Danish succession, the kingship falls to her son Hamlet, but he can't seem to actually do anything about it... argh! That's Queen Gertrude! Damn!

Ok, Sansa, passed over for a promotion by her boss, a Moor, gains revenge by tricking him into thinking that his loyal wife is actually screwing around behind his back.... Argh! I just can't seem to get this right!

I fail at this thread.

pax.

Sansa will kill Robert and Littlefinger, when the Others get to the Vale she will screw the King of the Others. She kills it and has their child which she names Deaddard. She marches on Kings Landing and sets Deaddard on the Iron Throne while she rules as Hand and the symbol for the hand is Jaime's golden one, which Sansa uses for personal gratification at night.

Come to think of it all this would actually make her character more interesting.

It's entirely about me.

I have a feeling I am not alone in that, either.

Can anyone say that they honestly hate a fictional character for any other reason?

Can anyone honestly say they hate two DIFFERENT fictional characters

for exactly the SAME reason?

It is pretty clear that GRRM intended that Sansa should be disliked by readers

in the early part of the story, only to make possible one of the more interesting

character developments of the series.

A lot of people failing to recognize that development must be considered a major

failure on his part.

So GRRM fails as a writer because you hate Sansa? Get over yourself man.

But Sansa is the worst person in Westeros. She shapechanged into a boar and gored Robert.

I like Sansa. But it seems to me even after AFFC many readers don't.

Compare Cersei - she is consistently dislikable - or likable, according

to your tastes. But Jaime and Sansa have been transformed between

AGOT and AFFC. With Jaime most people seem to recognize that,

but it appears the transformation of Sansa has been too subtle for

many readers. I still see her being called stupid or naive.

So that is at least a partial failure for the author who clearly intends

the opposite.

I disagree: it was obvious enough to me, and the author shouldn't have to make things too obvious. It's a success in that so many people have such strong opinions on Sansa. Whether they differ from Martin's or not is irrelevant.
