Peter Stormare for Sandor Clegane!
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001780/

He has experience workng with Ingmar Bergman in theatre for 15 years, and he is one hell of an actor, did a sweet job of playing a merciless Mafia boss in Prison Break, he will make a damn good Sandor Clegane he has the physics and even his voice has Sandor in it.

Oh hell yeah, The Bare Hand, Peter Stormare as The Hound! I don't care who he plays, that guy NEEDS to be in this series. The most important part of the Hound other than the scars is his voice, and Stormare's got the voice.

SPeaking of voices, Michael Wincott would work great, maybe as Beric Dondarrion. Since he'd pull of the almost mythical personality of Beric. The guy has a commanding stage presence. He'd even make a great Hound.

I got to thinking, Paul McCrane would be good for Randyll Tarly. He played Robert "The Rocket" Romano on ER.

Im happy you agree with me on that, I have always imagined Stormare as the Hound when I was reading the books :D

PS: I have a man crush on The Hound :P

Dunno if he has been suggested already, but when I saw "Juno" last week I had to think of J. K. Simmons (J. Jonah Jameson in the Spiderman films) as Tywin. Probably a bit expensive, though, but he won't have that much scenes after all.
As for Gendry, depending on what age limit we are going for, how about Stansilav Ianevski? He has an accent, but Gendry is kind of the brooding type.

Stansilav Ianevski
love it! maybe too hunky?
i seen Trevor Blumas suggested for Gendry... Trevor Blumas (google images) he's so gorgeous! perhaps too pretty for the mighty Gendry?

My Top 2 for Theon Greyjoy:

1. Kevin Zegers - He was awesome in Dawn of the Dead.

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0954225/

2. Trevor Fehrman - While a little older than I imagine Theon would be, he was able to portray a much younger character well in Clerks II and did a good job as an amusing character in Now You Know.

Mark Strong (ll) as Robert or Stannis:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0835016/

I always saw Oded Fehr as the Red Viper- Oberyn.

http://www.imdb.com/media/rm1015060480/nm0004912

Or an actor from Spain, as I see Dorne as being kind of a Spain/Portugal region. So the casting for that region should be a bit less nordic looking and more latin.

Hans Matheson would be a great Theon Greyjoy:

Wow, I really like your pick. Definitely agree with the Latin look for the Dornish.

Mona Weiss as Margaery Tyrell or Dany

I'm working my way up in Hollywood but I'm also a huge fan of the books. one of my friends told me to log on here and put myself in ahead of the game :)
I would love the chance to come in and audition for either of those roles, since i'm a fantastic actress AND I have the look too :)
I recall stumbling across this fellow's webpage once, because he actually plugged himself for Gregor Clegane: Conan Stevens.

Here is his pitch. Kinda convincing, I admit.
Surprised if this hasn't been mentioned yet., but Nathan Jones as Ser Gregor Clegane:

http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0428923/

He's 7'1" tall, and built like Hercules. Also pretty plain face, so could go as evil as necessary with some well-placed scars.

Also, to the person above who mentioned Conan Stevens, here's an image of both of them together. I think Nathan is better, you?

People seem to be suffering under the misconception that Beric Dondarrion is middle-aged. Sansa thinks he's too old, but Sansa is 11. It says in the first book that he is 21!

I would love to see someone hunky like Chris Evans play Beric.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I actually second Jared Leto as Loras if they're aging him up.

And Ray Stevenson for Sandor - even if he is a bit older, he'd still really carry it off well.

I agree with the Jared Leto for Loras idea, I don't really like the guy in the movies I've seen him in except he plays the brother well in Lord of War. He also looks exactly like how I picture Loras when I read the books.

As for Stormare for Sandor? no, just doesn't fit the physique but I could see him as Vargo, hes versatile like that.

And as for Gregor, I think both the listed guys above are excellent choices while I can't think of anything I've seen them in they definitely look the part in the pictures linked above.

For Walder Frey, the obvious choice is probably
Wallace Shawn in heavy makeup
http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0001728/
but my preference would be
John Hurt
Alan Rickman as...anyone.

He's brilliant, incredibly versatile (so much so that many people don't realize in just how many different roles they have seen him), it's well-known he supports intelligent, daring projects and works basically for free if the writing is excellent (and it most definitely is). Plus, he has worked with HBO before - if anyone hasn't seen Rasputin, go and get that DVD now! His performance, as well as the film, was simply amazing.

It would be a dream come true to see him get cast in ASoIaF.
:agree:

Wouldn't he be a superb Tywin Lannister? He can do that icy cold contempuous sneer like no one else. Just look at my avatar! And oh, to see him in Tywin's red armor, cloth of gold cloak and emerald-eyed lion jewels. sigh... be still, my beating heart...
