[Book Spoilers] The scenes you want to see

I really want to see the scenes between Daenerys and Missandei. Because they feel somewhat real to me.

And Missandei is black and since they are turning characters black in lack of them I'm sure they will keep her by 100% anyway. Been wondering about who to play Missandei though. She appears in the third book if I remember correct.

The Tower of Joy should have been in Episode 5 or 6. From what I gather, it wasn't there. So I doubt it will be included, which is a real shame since it was easily the best chapter in the first book. In fact, it's one of the best chapters in all of the series.

You have to remember that for those who haven't read the book a lot of these flashback type scenes would not make a lot of sense to TV viewers. I would imagine that now the show has proved to be such a fan favorite they will start explaining history more in people's conversations and then we'll get some good flashback or dream scenes. Specially since who wouldn't want to see Ned Stark just pop up in season 3 or something since we have already lost him and heck, I'd love to see the whole King Robert takeover, the fight with him and his hammer at the trident, Jamie sitting on the throne and Ned riding in on his horse to make him get down. Once HBO knows this show will be profitable we will probably see more of this stuff but right now it would be confusing. I watched the first half of the season before I ever picked up a book. I would have been lost with all the backstory stuff. It was hard enough to follow sometimes when it was just basic stuff about characters that I already was familiar with.

khal drogos funeral pyre (the first time i read this i was forever hooked on the series)

not so much:

stannis coming out of nowhere to save the day at the wall was just too convient

Blah, I hate Stannis. Glad he showed up and all but he is just so full of himself that HE is the rightful King and everyone should just up and acknowledge it and bow to him already. Yeah, he earned a little with being at the wall but I'm glad Jon doesn't do what he wants and he gets those with King's blood out of there and refuses the Lordship to Winterfell specially since there are plenty of heirs still available for Winterfell and Stannis has no right acting like he can already give out lordships and such. Now back to Drogo's pyre. Having saved the season on my TIVO and watching that scene about 10 times I must say that WAS great and even greater to watch and what a way to end the season with Dany standing there with 3 dragons and her small but awestruck Khalisar bowing before her.

LOL, he IS the rightful heir though. :)

I'm always so confused by this reaction people seem to have about Stannis (and Daenerys). That they are entitled because they are pursuing their birthright. In a feudal system that's how it works, people. They are, quite literally, entitled. But neither Stannis nor Daenerys thinks that they are just going to be handed the crown, but rather they fight for it. And in Stannis' case he comes to realize with Davos' help that the surest way to the crown is to protect the realm, and gain the people's loyalty that way!

<3 Stannis, grump that he is, he's the best hope for Westeros right now.

Something I'm looking forward to next season, is every scene with Stannis in it. :D I am rewatching John Adams just to see the actor some more haha.

King's Landing Riot: where Joffrey gets hit in the face by a load of dung and then Tyrion slaps/kicks the shit out of him when they get back to the Red Keep. Can't wait for the gifs of that!

Tyrion kicking ass and gettin' Handy in KL during the second season. pizzzz-imp!

Anything with Quhorin Halfhand cause he is a BAMF.

Purple Wedding.

I just want to see the look on Chett's and Sam's faces when that third "Uwooooo!" sounds at the beginning of SoS. Onomotopoeia typically annoys me, but this was one moment when it sent a chill down my spine.

Davos reading that letter... and Stannis arriving at the Wall during the battle with the wildlings. I'm not a huge Stannis fan, but this was an awesome moment.

Sansa and the Hound during the Blackwater. While it was very moving, the scene verged on creepy/rapey in the book and I wonder how they will adjust or adapt that in the show.

I hope they add a scene depicting the Cleftjaw's attack on Torrhen's square cause I really want to see my man Dagmer doing some reavin'.

And I'm really curious as to how they will imply the growing warg abilities of the Stark children. So far B&W have avoided flashbacks and similar dream or vision sequences. But the warg stuff seems pretty necessary to me, so I wonder how they will do it.

But pretty much, I'm looking forward to EVERY scene.

Do you think the GoT audition tapes have any chance of getting released in the future? I would love to see Maisie and Sophie's scene together, as well as the unused 'escort from the tourney' scene that solidified Rory's role as the Hound!

Also, as far as things go for seasons 3+.. they've already said they would have to do a lot of changes from the books, since they are too long and too many things happen I guess :(

Joffrey's epis battle against the rabbits with a crossbow in the yard of the Red Keep. The rabbits are winning :).

But most of all, Sansa and Sandor during the Blackwater. I am in no way a SanSan shipper, I only think this was one of the most powerful moments in the series and I am interested how they show it - hopefully more living and full of feelings than Jon and Sam saying thier vows to the tree.

None of the scenes I'm most looking forward to are in CoK. I'm looking forward to:

  • Jon and Ygritte in the cave
  • Brienne and Jamie fighting in the river and being captured by the goat
  • Arya stabbing the Tickler in AFFC (normally I'm a gentle person, but that scene really got my blood boiling).

I'm mostly looking forward to CoK because it's by far the best arc for Tyrion, and Dinklage is awesome.

The House of the Undying is the must-have for me this season. Seeing as last season only got me one out of three must-haves (final scene, but no flashback or dream from Ned), I don't know how good the odds are. Or rather, I imagine they have to do it some way, but I don't know that we'll get any of the visions. Which rather ruins Dany's storyline.

I don't really know how that ruins Dany storyline since the prophecys in this series have been useless anyway . I mean what is the point of having them if you can't do anything about it and they are going to happen anyway . They are only there to make us readers make theories on the future on forums like this until the next book is out .

Another scene I'm looking forward to (also in ASOS): "Now, there are three." Joffrey cutting Tyrion and Sansa's wedding present in half. I hope they find some way to express Sansa's belief that he probably moves those wormy lips of his when he reads, too. That was such a funny scene.

In ACOK: Patchface. Did they cast him? A creepy insane clown who spouts prophecy at every turn and is eventually going to murder someone... how could they not? And Cersei and Sansa's little chat during the Battle of the Blackwater. I really hope they lift that one from the books, word for word. "Do you have any notion of what happens when a city is sacked, Sansa? No, you wouldn't would you? All you know of life, you learned from singers, and there's such a dearth of good sacking songs."
