Dalfiatach Posted February 28, 2012 Share Posted February 28, 2012 I think Casual Observer was being a bit sarcastic there, Rhaegar's Ghost :-) Probably a bit of a dig at the sort of poster who comes onto the forum spluttering with fanrage, they're forever claiming "oh I don't read x's chapters".....if you really skipped all of Jon, Dany and Tyrion you'd have missed at least half the entire story, if not more.He's bang on about Martin needing a firm hand with the editing though. Unlike some here I like Feast and thought Dance was excellent (if you ignore those Dany/Daario chapters). But even though I like them a lot, I'm pretty sure both could easily be trimmed by a couple of hundred pages each without losing any meat.Me, I'll be surprised ifDany actually makes it to Westeros at all, ever - 9 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Hey.GRRM totally broke my heart when he killed Robb & Grey Wind. I've love Jon from the first too but after Ned & Robb & Lady, I don't put anyone out of his reach. I say 5. A 50/50 chance that Jon (hopefully only his body) will die.Also, I've been so hung up on shipping Sandor & Sansa that I kinda missed the connection that Brienne & Jamie have on my first read. I like that George has flipped the traditional Beauty & The Beast story. Jamie as the pretty boy and poor Brienne, the beast, who wins his love through her bravery, strength and honor. I love it. It would be more of a 5 for me.I'm a fan of Dany so I give her a 6. GRRM could still go either way with her character and I love the dragons.Dany & Jon. I don't know.... More of a 8. Dany gets a mount to love but does she get to keep him? I'd like to see a Jon & Dany hook up - if Dany turns out to be the kick ass but just ruler she wants to be, if not then no, I don't want her around Jon.
