Skippy! Yeah. I didn't get that one! I went to another supermarket where the cheaper ones were

Good, healthy food

What brand did you get? My mother prefers Peter Pan, but I normally buy Skippy when I'm buying at a regular market... though I normally get my Jams and PB at the organic section, mostly because I avoid stuff that may have Corn Syrup in it.

Just looked at myself in the mirror.

I look like Rudolph.... but I didn't drink any alcohol. It's all from the sneezing and wiping my nose. And it hurts.

Yeah, I hate that feeling of the red itchy sensible nose. Hope you feel better soon! Lemon and Honey on your Tea!

Twentyfour hours until the new year. Let's start the countdown.

Still another Twenty Six and a Half to go here.

That was Arthur's first Avatar.

Eira: Well, It really depends on what part of the world you're in to know how much time left we have? I think Gillio is +12 from me, so it should be almost 8:00 AM for her... felice is in NZ, so I take it's a little later over there.

With the Time Stamp, I still have 26 Hours, 12 Minutes my time.

And 29 pages to finish Among Others.

It's the first flu for ages - and I got hit. So much for my last free days before I've got to go back to work.

If it shouldn't be that better on Wednesday, I'll call up and ask to stay at home. The immune system of old people isn't that stable...

Oh, and I had a great time tonight, the beer testing evening that my little bro got as a Christmas present for all the family was tonight, at a local specialist beer house.

Found a few new favourites, a German beer was my favourite lager (Jever) an India pale ale (IPA) from Odell Brewing for the ales, a Trappist beer (La Trappe), a vintage cider (Henry Westons 2010) and from the stouts, a beautiful stout - Yeti - and Old Rasputin were my favourites, both from the US. I usually don't drink stouts, but those two were among my favourite beers all time, and that is why I love sessions like this!

Zar, I thought you were 5 hours behind us.

La Paz Time (GMT - 4)... but coincides with EST (New York) in the Summer, because you all shift your clocks 1 hour and we don't

Jever!

That's one of my favorite beers actually.

Though I wouldn't classify it as Lager.

Right, it's a pilsener. Silly me! We got it in the round of lagers and "light" beers. So I classified it in my mind as a lager, an English habit I've picked up along the way I suppose

Um Gillio is closer to the New Year than we are... so Happy New Year to her!

EDIT: and to felice too

Thanks 8) Just under 11 hours to go here, and I'll be heading off to a party (for the smallest possible value of "party") in about an hour.

I'm not as well-versed on beers as I'm on wine, what sets the deal for classification?

22h 50m in my time ;)

What are you going to do at new year eve? go to the party, or staying in home watching TV or going to the marketplace (here will be a big party for all ctizen/people, concerts, fireworks etc), or something else?

I think it actually is just a cultural thing. All beers that are lagers stem originally from the pilsener tradition. It's a bottom-fermented beer. In Germany they tend to be more bitter as far as I know, but on a international scene they are among the lagers.
