teemo Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 In history, can you really recall any "bad" Starks? I don't remember reading about any in TWOAIF, and it seems like for every other house there was a crazy person every once in awhile (some houses more than others). Edit: I'm not saying "omg all Starks are saints," I'm just trying to see if there are any notable ones or ones you personally think are bad. barristan-b Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 Well it's speculated the Night's King is a Stark but it's unconfirmed and people have thought otherwise. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Ser Cold Fingers Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 What is your definition of 'bad'? Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Joey Crows Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 Depends on your definition I guess. I would assume all the peoples north of the wall consider the Starks "bad". So, too any vassal who feels they deserve more out of life. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
QuickReviveGuy Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 Theon Stark "The Hungry Wolf" for all the Wars in his reign. The Karstarks are currently bad. They're a shoot off of mainline StarksThe Greystarks were at Wolf's Den until they rebelled with House Bolton.Eddard Stark killed Lady :eek:I mean there were probably some "bad" ones but none were anything close to the baddies of today Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Rhaechyll Targaryen Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 I'm not going to say that he was "bad" but Ned's brother Brandon kind of sounded like a jerk. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Boarsbane Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 Theon Stark clearly, he sailed all the way across the sea to massacre Andal villages. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
TimJames Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 When Bran was in the Stark Family Crypt, he says that some of his ancestors did horrible things. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 I'm sure there were. Currently, I'm not positive. Arya seems to be taking a turn for the evil. Whether she stays that way or becomes a true Stark again if she's ever reunited with Nymeria, I cannot say. I hope so though. I remember the Greystarks that joined the Boltons to overthrow Winterfell. It didn't end well for them. As others have mentioned, the Night's King was said to be a Stark of Winterfell by Old Nan. Old Nan also said that there were those who said the Night's King was a Bolton, but not to believe that, he was a Stark of Winterfell. I tend to believe Old Nan's tales as they seem to come true. Everyone has skeletons in their closets. No family line is completely pure. Although, I am wondering if the Boltons have always been completely evil. The Wolves Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 There are a lot of bad Starks the Kings Of Winter sound so horrifying and brutal. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
The Wolf Lord's Daughter Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 I'm sure there were. Currently, I'm not positive. Arya seems to be taking a turn for the evil. Whether she stays that way or becomes a true Stark again if she's ever reunited with Nymeria, I cannot say. I hope so though.evil. So becoming darker means that Arya isn't a true Stark anymore? Absolute Rubbish. First up, Arya is not evil yet. Second all the Stark's are becoming darker, including Sansa and Jon. Does they won't be true Stark's either? And third Bran himself says on the crypts that the rare were good Starks and bad ones, but they were ALL Starks. So even if Arya becomes evil, which I don't think will happen, she'll still be a true Stark and since I believe she'll play an important part in the stark revival, she may even end up being considered a hero to them, even if she does very questionable things. I mean she isn't even in Theon Stark's or Cregan Stark's or the Night's king league yet. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
lady jellybean Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 Sansa lied about the incident on the trident and ran to cersi when she was told not to betraying her father. Those were bad. Everyone can do bad things in any kind of situation. but for the most part everyone is good. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Darksnider05 Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 Theon Stark clearly, he sailed all the way across the sea to massacre Andal villages. He was perfectly justified as it was retaliatory. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Joey Crows Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 Tryhard and boring actually. Arya chapters are some of my personal favs. Her evolution is certainly going to play a major role in the story. Plus, she is a rare woman of noble birth that rejects tradition and goes her own way, which incidentally involves becoming a seriously dangerous threat to anyone who stand in her way. The psychology involved in her development is in itself intriguing. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ThunderG Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 The worst is Wolfgang (sic!) Stark, German soccer referee. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Nictarion Posted December 21, 2014 Share Posted December 21, 2014 Of course there would have been bad Starks. They didn't hold the North for 8000 years by being sweethearts. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
teemo Posted December 21, 2014 Author Share Posted December 21, 2014 I'm just wondering if anyone thinks there was any particular famous ones....obviously they weren't all "sweethearts." :rolleyes: Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
