Udvarnoky
Happy to see Ian Gelder as Kevan make a tiny appearance last tonight. Kevan has been little more than a walk-on role thus far, but when he and Cersei inevitably go at it the casting is going to make a lot more sense. I hope he points out to her that two of his sons were butchered in a war she allowed her son to start.
The Last Reyne
It is an amazingly true to the book moment. I hope they continue.
Emperoreddy
I honestly thought he was cut. It was a great happy surprise to see Kevan.
Pashernate Reader
I honestly thought he was cut. It was a great happy surprise to see Kevan. I guess they can't cut everyone. :dunno:
Hot Meat Pie
I also thought Kevan was cut after not seeing him since s2 good to see him back.
Sammy the Schnoz
I like him.
boojam
There were a lot of legal views of episode 1 and a lot of reviews but I don't remember a single mention of Ian Gelder being in it. I think the same thing is true of Eugene Simon , I think. Even tho we knew they were back. (I don't count Reece Noi.)

Aemon's counsel
I was glad to see him too. Because he was such a background character in S1 and S2 I'd sort-of assumed that Ian Gelder was a stand-in extra (like the guy they had playing Beric for a scene in S1, and the guy they've had playing Othell Yarwyck for a few years), and that they'd recast him when he actually had more to say and do. So I was surprised to a) see Gelder return and b ) give quite an impressive performance in his scenes with Cersei and the small council.
King Tyrion I
I always liked book! and show!Kevan. So it was really nice to see him again. And the way he "apologized" for Lancel.
The Rat Kook
It is an amazingly true to the book moment. I hope they continue. Him being re-cast at all seems like the most unlikely hurdle. Now that he's here, I truly believe we'll get the same Kevan stuff as we did in the books! :D
Graven
Along with Tyrion my favorite lanister hands down. One of the things that the books does wonderfully imo, is to make even minor characters captivating, the show cannot always do the same, but at least i hope they make justice to Kevan as the season advances. The Time Traveling Tree
Yeah I'm happy they brought him back. People forget that he was actually in season 1 during Tywin's tent war council. He is pretty vital to the story in kings landing on the bookends this season.

Stone Cold Bastard
I always liked book! and show!Kevan. So it was really nice to see him again. And the way he "apologized" for Lancel. The actor is amazing. He portrays Kevan masterfully. One of the strengths of the HBO adaptation has been the casting, which has mostly been outstanding. Red Raven
Loved Kevan in the books, love him in the show. So glad to see him return.
The Last Left Fighting
Kevan is a favorite minor character of mine and so far I have no qualms about Gelder's ability to portray him. Now will the show do the role justice, is the better question.
clawson24
Really enjoyed seeing him and Lancel pop up in Episode 1. Time to see Cersei get hers.
