Excellent points. And good point about societal forces impacting the truth of the matter.

The topic at hand, I think the OP may have picked up on something, maybe it's a plot point.

Exactly, its the society that dictates how people should behave, but individuals are and will just be individuals no matter the period of time they have to live in. The difference on different behaviour lays on each person's characteristics and external variables, such as society, social status, current situation. Never on gender. That's why we can identify with a character no matter their gender is, if the story is well-told because we are all humans.

Well, I'd go further... to bring it on topic: listen to the women in the books.

Arya's miffed about the fact that she had to walk to the dais alongside fat Tommen, and how handsome Joffrey is. Though she soon admits Joffrey's a little shit by the end of the same chapter, there are several more references that Arya's affected by handsome men or boys: Gendry, Jaquen. She first disbelieves that Beric is Beric because he was supposed to be handsome and the scarecrow standing there isn't handsome at all. Arya's miffed with Jaquen when she discovers he joined the Lannister troops, while women swoon for him. She thinks of him as the handsome prisoner.

Arianne falls for handsome men, dangerously handsome men. She's starting to resist her instinctual attraction, but that is a cognitive controlling response to her instinctual urge to find Darkstar and Lysono Maar irresistably attractive. And she still has the hots for the bastard who deflowered her.

Sansa is a famous example for it, certainly in the first books. She adjusts some of it, but it's still a desire to dream of kisses towards someone she finds physically attractive (beyond the facial features). But a big no for Tyrion, no matter how much she tries to see something in him beyond surface features.

Asha for Qarl the Maid and her first suitor, who still yearns for her too.

Brienne has the hots for Jaime, had the hots for "the most handsome man that Sansa had ever seen - Renly".

Dany and her Daario and not able to imagine herself with Jorah and Hizdar not doing a thing for her.

Ygritte who thinks Jon handsome, and Val watching him swordfight from her tower room.

These are all good examples of wll-written females in ASOIAF. The author knows women are attracted to handsome men, sometimes leading to lust, others true love, other times is just attraction.

He also plays with the fact that men can be attracted to women who are not attractive according to the society's norms: such as Jaime, falling for Brienne (or we could even say Jon fr Ygritte, and even in that case he is not supposed to fall for a Wilding, because they are "different"). These men and others are also attracted for very attractive females, but they are able to see beyond the "standard beauty" or  the "norm". And the story also explores how even "non-standard" beauties are also attractive, (like when Jaime sees that Brienne is beautiful) both from a male perspective but also from females' pov. This is all because we are humans and the author has done a good job.

It would also effectively remove LF from the Vale influence too. Jon is not that bright though on this show.

He is bright enough to know what kind of weasel LF is and that's he's pushing him against the wall. He's not trusting him like Ned did but also can't deny his help. If it wasn't for him and the Knights of the Vale, they would have been dead, by Jon's mistake. He knows it.

I really don't like how LF ha sbeen manipulating him all the time. It would be nice if he saw the light thanks to Lyanna.

I think they would be cute as well.

Yeah, that's a big plot hole. You sold my sister to the Boltons. Have a guest room.

As for Lyanna, she'd make quick work of LF. Now that would be nice to see.

if we would be that lucky. You know he is going to destroy what is left of Sansa before he becomes worm's meat. Those promo pics just show that she is nothing more than a pawn to his player, a whore to his pimp. (the Bolton marriage made that so) And the fool just keeps on listening to him and being led around by him, she is even walking behind him, so much for protocol. Sad.

Well, the kid was being breastfed by his psycho mama till he was 8 or so and that milk had to be tainted with less than good for him or any baby for that matter.

Jon owes LF nothing. A simple talk with Sansa and Lord Royce would put things together, just the three of them. Sweet Robin's Army, led by Royce as Commander. Sweet Robin should be thanked and then advised of LF's death for lying about how Sansa ended up in the Bolton rape room.

Jon owes him a lot. If it wasn't for him he'd be dead because Baelish had this idea. Royce as we saw is someone LF can manipulate with because SweetRobin is the one controlling army. Sansa can be turned on against Jon due to her snub by Northern lords. She wants to rule te North and that is something Baelish can use against her.

That wouldn't work. It's been repeatedly shown that Littlefinger has Robin Arryn wrapped around his little finger. Littlefinger is in control of the lord of the Vale, the lord of the Vale controls the Knights of the Vale, ergo, Littlefinger controls the Knights of the Vale.

If LF is executed in Winterfell for lying about how Sansa ended up as Lady Bolton (there are other reasons to kill him too like murdering Joff and framing Sansa), do you think Sweet Robin is going to go balistic and call for everyone up there or anyone for that matter to be thrown out the Moon Door?

Sansa suffered needlessly when she could have just rode up with the Vale Army either to help Stannis or to take Winterfell in her name this season. The "get Cersie's permission" to move the Vale forces is laughable as the Vale has been acting autonomously since Season 1.

Setting up a bertrayal?

It's a possibility. TV Tyrion at least doesn't seem like the type to let resentment over Dany not being in love with him boil over into a betrayal; I think he has too much self-awareness for that. It's not as if Dany has ever falsely led him to believe she was in love with him. If and when Tyrion turns on Dany, it will likely be because he thinks she's too much of a liability or because she has done something he considers unforgivable.

I'm kind of curious to see what happens to Robin in the show. I always figured Book Sweetrobin was a goner.

Robin Arryn left Littlefinger in charge of the Vale army. If they're going to depose him, they're going to need Robin's consent. Otherwise, it's treason.

Well, the Vale Army rose and lofted their swords for Jon Snow, "The King In The North" so, treason may already be in play and if not, Jon is above Sweet Robin now in a way so........ Sansa and or Jon, Bran if he arrives and or Arya could and should have that slimy bugger mutilated ASAP, Yesterday, Last Season as a matter of fact and Sweet Robin will just need to grow up. Lord Royce would not even have to do much but give whitness to what LF told Sweet Robin about what happened leading up to the Vale Army marching North.

Yeah, LF lied to Robert/Sweetrobin, too. He lied to everyone. (And there's the little matter of what he did to his parents that will come out.)

Throw a dart and it's going to hit someone he lied to enough to want him dead.

But you sold my sister to the Boltons after framing her for murdering the king is a good place to start.

Littlefinger lied to Sweetrobin. He kidnapped his cousin, then lied to him to use the Vale troops.

You don't get your day in court after that. Sweetrobin would be fine with them chopping his head off.

Bronze Yohn can back Jon up, so can Brienne, she knows what happened, and he tried to kill her, too.

Too many to name...

Like I said, Littlefinger has complete control of Robin and is effectively the lord of the Vale. Maybe Jon and Sansa could execute him without consequences, but the risk is too great. If Jon tries to execute Littlefinger, the Vale army could stand in his way. We all saw how the Karstarks reacted to Robb executing their lord. The Vale army could either intervene, or, if they're not fast enough, could  desert, leaving Jon with a lot less men to fight the White Walkers. He may not like it, but Jon is stuck with him for the time being.

King of the North lets a guy who framed his sister for regicide and sold her to the Boltons have a guest room.

Nope. Makes no sense. At minimum (unrealistic option) he'd be imprisioned. Realistic option, he'd be dead.

The entire countryside and surrounding world that is in any way sympathetic to the Starks would say GOOD RIDDANCE.

He tried to give the Boltons an heir (and she was tortured). He put a price on the head of a Stark (that's still there).

Jon doesn't know about the regicide, so that's a non-factor. I've already discussed why killing Littlefinger isn't the right move at the moment, and you've said nothing that refutes those points.

Sweet Robin is not there to save his ass, not that he could in Winterfell if he were there.  No risk to Jon and Sansa, the Vale troops can bare whitness to Sansa, Royce, Briene etc. Sweet Robin seemingly was emasculated, usurped and abandoned in TKITN scene last season.

Besides, it's apparent that Littlefinger still has an influence over Sansa. I don't believe Jon will execute him without her blessing.

Sansa is a family traitor fool (only a fool would trust LF)  on this show and yeah, LF still has a hold over her because of that, I will give you that.
