KSC
I'm sure someone else will chime in with a more detailed report, but in the meantime...basically Arriane, Elia, and some others from Dorne are traveling to meet lord Connington. Arriane spends much of the trip thinking about Quentyn and if he actually found Dany, wondering, "do I have to call him King". At one point Elia wanders off into a cave where they find carvings from the children of the forest. She's acting out a little bit and Arriane has to put her in her place. When they finally arrive at Griffins Roost they learn that Connington has already left for Storms End. Later they learn that he has taken the castle! Arriane doesn't quite believe it, but when asked by conningtons men if she would like to be taken to see Connington and Aegon, they would escort her by sea. She was urged not to go by (I forget), but declared that she wanted to see this "Dragon"....

Ran
Elia Sand, one of Oberyn's younger daughters, must be meant.
Alexia
Ran, now that this subforum got started we don't need to use spoiler tags right?
TippsBlackandWhite
EDIT: Nevermind... Ran beat me to it.
KSC
Weird. I had thought my post in the other thread got deleted, then realized it was made into into it's own! Did this subforum just get created?Just in case the spoiler thing still applies... Yes, I meant Elia Sand. Arriane, during their heart to heart confided in her that she had wished Oberyn was her own father instead of Doran. @Alexia: Myrcella and Trystane were mentioned once, but I can't recall the details. Much of the chapter was their journey and the rest was Arriane trying to pry information as to Connington's whereabouts from his men. She did go on about whether Dany would except him. Something along the lines of a young woman wanting a dashing and rash young men, not some average guy who does whatever is expected of him, but that she would want Dorne and that would be worth the compromise. Other things of note that I recall were Arriane comparing the great castles of Westeros and thinking Storms End would be the hardest to lay siege. It was also mentioned that Highgarden was on the way to Storms End to take back the castle and that Connington had every intention of not only holding the castle, but meeting Tyrell's host outside in battle. jurble
I'm guessing the spoiler-tags are left-over from before this was moved here? I don't see why you wouldn't expect spoilers when clicking on a thread that says TWoW spoilers...But daym, he got Storm's End? Awesome.
Trebla
I took copious notes. I'll make sure to post them when I get home. a few notesThis chapter is one of two that was moved to ADwD.Arianne spends the majority of the chapter traveling with a few comapnions. Nym and Tyene had also departed Dorne with Myrcella and 300 hundred spears. Trystane is still safely in Dorne. Doran sent her as soon as they heard of Connington. Elia ia a pain in the ass the whole time, Arianne catches her making out with a servant named Feathers who is twice Elia's age. Arianne party is met by two Golden Company men names Young John Mudd and Chain. They won't tell her much she eventually get Chain to tell her Connington is marching to Storm's End. Lysano Maar takes charge and Arianne does not like him. They arrive at the Roost and are told by the Halfmaester that Storm's End has fallen and the Tyrells are marching from King's Landing. The Bastard of Godsgrace urges her not to go to Storm's End by Arianne says she must be her father's heir and she needs to see this dragon. Été
This chapter is one of two that was moved to ADwD. Did GRRM say anything about the other moved chapter?
Werthead
Two? I thought there were several:1 Sansa, 1 Arya, 2 Arianne (plus a third chapter yet to be written) and 1 Aeron. That's odd. Maybe the others have been junked?
inkasrain
Way cool; thanks for the synopsis! Is she thinking about marrying him? Does she give us any news of Myrcella?Tagging just in case... I'll bet she's thinking that exactly. Too bad maybe-Aegon seems set on marrying his aunt.
Alexia
If Tyrell armies are marching to Storm's End, that means that the situation with Cersei and Margaery is resolved and that Margaery is alive. So that solves one piece of speculation. Did Arianne know anything about the Great Nude Parade, or about the trial?
The Lost Lord
Great stuff. I continue to maintain that YG will be sitting on the Iron Throne at the end of TWOW.
Azador
I assumed this is just one of the two Arianne chapters moved, not one of the only two chapters moved. And thanks for the reports!
Eaglewood
That sounds awesome. I wish that chapter had remained in aDwD! Argh.
History of Westeros
I'm eager to learn what Aegon/JC did to take Storm's End so quickly. Another implication is that some other lords have joined their cause, otherwise it seems like facing the Tyrells in open combat would be a bad idea. Hard to imagine that the Tyrells don't have a sizable edge in numbers, tho very likely the GC is far superior in terms of experience, discipline and probably leadership.. Especially if it's Mace leading the host.. If it's Tarly then things get verrry interesting.
History of Westeros
There is no reason for Aegon to marry Arianne, and that would be true even if Dany was dead. He's already half Martell so Aegon should use his marriage card on a great house that isn't already very likely to side with him.
inkasrain
I wonder if the Tyrells have neglected to throw quite as much of their lot in with the Lannisters as everyone was meant to think. Between Lady Olenna's involvement in Joffery's murder, the conveniently vague and protracted "death" of Loras, and two fishy conquests of Storms End in a row, I'm starting to think that Highgarden has been playing a much longer game than it's seemed. The Oncoming Storm
Heh, what if "Aegon" sees Arianne, goes all "wow, shiny" and marries her? He already showed he goes after his own head.
